Follow Friday Four Fill in Fun

I’m a little late to the party today. Blame it on a household full of sick kids and people. But I’m armed with a cup of coffee and determined to get this post out. Haven’t missed Hilary’s hop once since I started doing it… So, here is the deal. Hilary posts four  statements with blanks for us to fill in on our own blogs. It’s super fun and interesting to see what everyone comes up with.

This week’s statements:

1. I don’t understand ___ and probably never will

2. I prefer ___ to ____

3. My favorite smell is ______________because ___________________

4. I suspect my neighbors of _________________

Here are my answers:

1. I don’t understand American football and probably never will. I grew up with Fussball (soccer) and just don’t understand why fully grown men throw themselves into these tangled piles after an oval ball. Hello, a ball is round and you are supposed to kick it into the opponents net!!!! 🙂

2. I prefer a hot cup of tea with honey to a glass of wine at the end of the day.

3. My favorite smell is the smell of freshly cut grass because it’s sweet and fresh.

4. I suspect my neighbors of feeding the stray cats in the neighborhood. Which really is a problem because there are a lot of them and they like to do their business in our backyard and hang out there. My pooches are not too happy about that!!!

I wish USA and Canada could get together and have the same rules for football! (not that I’d likely watch — I’m a hockey girl)
Fresh cut grass….that’s a good one!
And seriously about the cats? how rude. In my town, you cannot let your cat run free anymore than a dog is allowed to run free. and for exactly that reason — no one follows the cat to clean up!

I like hockey too. We have the Florida Panthers close by and I actually went to a game against Canada once… it was one of my first dates with hubby. pretty cool!!!

I confess if I lived in Boca, I might just be one of those neighbors feeding the stray cats! That’s how I acquired Buster!! 🙂

But you kept the cat. It’s a bit of a problem because there are so many and we also have other critters come out to steal their food… think racoons, possums and the odd armadillo!!! Not fun…

Feeding a stray cat is a good thing as long as you are feeding it to gain its trust and adopt it…to being life as a pampered indoor cat! We don’t see to many stray cats or dogs in the neighborhood, but if we were working on getting a kitty’s trust, it would be to get it to the shelter we support to find it a home.

I love fresh-cut grass to, because it reminds me of baseball!!

I found our cat in the backyard when she was a kitten and we took her in. But feeding too many of them is not right!!! And yes, if they would take the cats to a shelter it would be nice but they don’t.

I don’t undestand football, and I am so thankful that marc doesn’t follow… But, I so prefer a glass of wine at the end of the day to pretty much anything…

Same here… maybe I would get it more if Sweetheart followed it but we really don’t follow anything. I go crazy once every 4 years for the Fifa cup and that’s it!!! 🙂

I would not be happy about the cats being in my yard. I have two dogs and my yard is their yard and only their yard.

    Happy Friday!

Exactly. We used to have a jungle gym for the kids but had to take it down after the last big hurricane. Since then it’s the dogs territory!!! 🙂

I’m with you on the tea! I hope everyone in your family is feeling better this week.

Thanks Karen. Taking it easy today and hoping that by tomorrow I’ll feel a bit better.

Haha, funny answers. I prefer red wine to tea. 🙂

I’m an AMERICAN and I STILL don’t understand football. So many guys have tried to explain how the game is played but it goes in one ear and out the other.

    • Susi February 14, 2012 at 2:19 pm

Well, that certainly makes me feel much better. I don’t think I will ever get that game…
