It’s a day for love

February 14, 2012

I just came back from checking on my friend Leslie at Time Out for Mom and she joined Bianca at Bits of Bee for her Quotable Bits. I loved her idea of a quote about love from a movie. So, I decided to join because I remembered a movie of my own. One that I haven’t seen in a while but that I truly love.

Imagine source IMDb.com

“Love means never having to say you’re sorry.”

I just love that line and remembering the movie I will have to go and check Netflix now…

Wishing you all a Happy Valentine’s Day.

We really don’t make too much of a big deal out of this day… because love should be celebrated and appreciated each and every day!!! πŸ™‚

I haven’t watched that movie for YEARS! I may be Netflixing it tonight, too!!!

When I looked for a picture of it I realized the movie came out in 1970… that was 9 years before I was born. And yet, I’d say it’s one of my all time favorites. πŸ™‚

oh my heart! I have not watched that in years! It was also released before I was born (just slightly). I think it definitely is due for another screening.

Isn’t it just the greatest. it’s one of those movies you don’t really think about for a while and then you just have to watch it again.

Another great movie quote! You and Rory are making me want to re-watch a bunch of old but great movies! Thanks for joining in on the linkup, great pick πŸ™‚

Thanks for having me. I really like this link up… I do a quote of the week so this way I can do two things at once!!! πŸ™‚

You and sweetheart are like Marc & I… we don’t believe in the holiday either. I don’t need Hallmark to tell me to have a romantic day and show my love… it is more important to do it the other 364 days of the year rather than the one that the card company tells us too….

    • Susi February 15, 2012 at 12:34 pm

Exactly. Why is there one day specifically put aside for saying “I love you”… I think, it’s the little every day things that count. Like letting me sleep in on the weekends and watching the kids for me!!!

Oh, I haven’t watched that movie in YEARS! Isn’t it really sad at the end? πŸ™

Great quote though! And it is a quote that when I originally watch the movie I didn’t totally get… only experience can tell you why “Love means never having to say you’re sorry.” So glad I understand this quote now πŸ™‚

    • Susi February 15, 2012 at 12:31 pm

Yes. It does have a very sad ending. But also hopeful in a way. It’s just such a beautiful movie.

Love that quote if only I could live it. I’m always apologizing for some dumb thing or another I’ve done.
Don’t really celebrate here either, love really should be every day (even if I do like the chocolate)

    • Susi February 15, 2012 at 10:34 pm

Well, the chocolate is a must, right? Maybe you can try to keep the quote in mind and not apologize as much. πŸ™‚
