Finnigan the cat

I love my pets. I take care of my pets. But they are not my babies. I have three children. They are my babies and always will be.

I do love to photograph our cat Finnigan. She seems to make a great subject for pictures and I love how the sun glints of her black fur. So, today, a change of pace. A very picture purrrrfect post with lots of Finn.

She has many napping places in our house and everytime I catch her in a new one I try to snap a picture.

Here she is curled up between some of the sofa pillows, napping in the sun.

Stretched out on the ottoman. Sleeping the day away.

Another one on the ottoman. Carefully watching all that goes on around her.

Sitting on the edge of the couch. Love the look on her face!

She likes to play this game… we call her, can’t find her, start freaking out, hope she didn’t get out somehow… and then… there she is, on top of the cabinets… looking at us with this haughty gaze…  “Got you, ha ha!” So not funny.

Finnigan also likes to sit on the steps, and wait… for little bare feet to claw. My kids are not amused by this!!!

One of her new favorite spots to nap… my laptop keyboard. She’s not happy when I try to shoo her away. I guess, she would like it if I spent a little less time with my bloggy friends… fat chance, Finn!!! :)

I find her sitting/napping here numerous times each day and have quite a few pictures of her in various curled up positions. I’d say it’s her number one nap spot.

This last pictures is of Finn lolling around on our dining room table, under a vase of roses. It is by far my absolute favorite picture of her right now.

And there you have it. A purrrrrfect kitty post. Our Finn has it good. I think, she knows it, too.

* As a side note: I found Finn as a tiny kitten (about 6 weeks old) in our neighbor’s backyard, after hearing her cries all day. I brought her home with the intention of taking her to the local humane society. We had 3 dogs at the time and I did not want to add a cat to the mix. But the hubby has a very tender heart for all things animal. He let her into the house, brought food and pretty little food bowls for her… and the rest, as they say, is hisssssstory!!!!
