Isn’t this just so true?
Instead of always wanting more, sometimes I think, it’s good to stop and just look around you and appreciate what you have.
I know, I’m guilty of it… guilty of wanting more, wanting something bigger and better than what I have now.
It’s not always a bad thing.
But I try to stop and smell the roses so to speak.
Today, as I was swimming my laps in our sparkling pool, enjoying the quiet and letting my mind wander…
I stopped to appreciate my life and all I am and have.
Every once in a while it’s good to do that!

I have always said the best advice I could give someone is “know thyself”. it’s really surprising how many people don’t take the time to do that.
great quote.

Thanks. Yes, definitely important advice.
I love that quote, and so true that it’s important to stop and smell the roses every once in awhile. I think we all have “grass is always greener” moments, but it’s important to snap back and realize all the wonderful things we have!

Exactly!!! Couldn’t have said it better myself.
Great quote…many of us take things for granted. And it is wonderful to look around and appreciate what we already have.
Very true. I saw this and it fit my mood yesterday!!!
So true. I do try to remind myself to stop and appreciate all that I have – especially when I find myself feeling like things aren’t going the way I want them to!

Great quote and thoughts!
I think that wanting more is what drives us to better ourselves sometimes. But, it is important to know when to stop and appreciate what is already there. I am doing that this week- stopping, that is. I got the job I was hoping for and life is looking good. For today I will be pleased with that much. Eventually it will be time to strive for more, but for now it’s just time to be thankful.

Exactly right Karen… that’s my thinking and I hope, I’ll be able to find a good balance between the two.

Balance is one of the hardest things to find in life. I think it’s one of the most important, though.

More and more I agree that you need to live in the moment and really appreciate what you do have. And, yes, every once in a while we ALL need to be reminded of that. Great Quote Susi!
