Birthday Memories

June 18, 2012

I can’t believe my sweet middle child is already nine.

This past Saturday she had some friends over for some birthday party fun…

  • we went for some frozen yogurt treats
  • splashed around in the pool
  • decorated cupcakes
  • and sang “Happy Birthday” (very fast and very loud)
  • ordered some pizza and yummy garlic rolls
  • had a slumber party
  • for breakfast the next morning… decadent cinnamon rolls.

Another year older and more grown-up with each day. My beautiful girl, with her pretty smile, bright blue eyes and sweet, sweet heart. So loved by all. But most of all by her daddy and I!!!

It is amazing. My son is starting middle school in the fall and I can’t quite believe it. Seems like yesterday I dropped him off for his first day of Kindergarten.

My daughter just turned nine, too! It’s such a great age: grown, but still innocent and sweet! Looks like a great birthday celebration with some dear friends!

Yes, I kept it small… too much drama otherwise. This was a great group and they all got along really well. 9 is a pretty nice age… Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

It looks like she had an elegant tea party, too. How wonderful. And cupcakes are the best!

I know, sometimes you really just want to stop time or freeze a moment for a little while.
