Tomorrow (Wednesday) we celebrate Independence Day!
As we have for many years.
But this year, it will be special for me.
It’s my first 4th of July as an American citizen.
I think that’s pretty awesome.
I don’t think about it on a day to day basis.
But sometimes, especially on national holidays, it hits me.
I’m an American.
And proud of it.
Linking up with Bianca for Quotable Bits.

Wow, what a special milestone to celebrate this July 4th! We’ve just had Canada Day here, but I have to admit, we don’t seem to go all out quite like our American friends! Congratulations, and I hope you have a fabulous time celebrating your first July 4th as an American!

Happy 4th — it is just after midnight my time, so I can say it now!
How special for you! We just happened to be in USA on the 4th once when I was a little girl — what a party! It was just so awesome to see all the patriotic pride. That’s why I try to make the Canadian holiday special for my kids too. even though it was an exhausting day on my own.
Hope you have an incredible “first” 4th of July!

Thanks so much. It is wonderful to see all that patriotism. I have always loved it… We were at Disney once for the 4th and they had a swearing in ceremony on Main St. I was blown away!
