Time is not on my side…

Time to blog that is.

My fault for wasting most of my late afternoon/early evening on playing around with Blogger and setting up a blog there.

Just out of curiosity. I deleted it.

I’ll stick to WordPress, thank you very much.

I could have gotten this post ready instead of playing around.

But I didn’t…

And today I paid the price. I sit here, working on it now at 9:05 pm…

Because my shower looked like this in the morning, before the tile guys showed up.

They showed up earlier than we expected (that’s good, right?) and now my shower looks like this.

At the same time a guy from ATT showed up and we lost the Internet!!! :( I.was.not.happy.

Then hubby’s grandma called… she couldn’t get anyone to come over to stay with her when a guy from Comcast was coming by to fix her TV. She’s almost 86… So, Susi to the rescue. I packed up the girls (Middle, her bestie and Little One) and we met her for lunch and then some pool fun at her house while the Comcast guy did his thing.

My bathroom still looks like this.

Yesterday, I played some more with my camera, been shooting mostly in manual and love the way this came out.

Our Macy checking out what’s going on outside from her comfy spot. Yes, that is her couch!!! :)

Here is the hubby with his new toy– a flight simulation game with proper joystick– on the big TV.

Even Little One is enthralled. And the other kids have taken their turn at the “wheel”.

Fun for everyone.

This is Middle mid jump at grandma’s this afternoon. Did I mention that they love the pool, any pool?

And Little One not to be outdone by big sister joined in.

Isn’t she just the cutest?

So, there you have it… my Essence of Now. Oh, I forgot to tell you. I’m linking up with Jessica at My time as Mom and Mama Track.

Not my usual Friday hop… Hilary took a break this week to mourn her kitty Alex’s passing.

I like this link up though and think I’ll be a regular here!!! If they’ll have me… :)

  1. I’ll have to show my son the picture of your dog. Not only will he think your dog is adorable (he’s a major animal lover), but he’ll ‘oooh’ over the guitars on the wall :)
    Ally recently posted..Dear…My Profile

    • One of my previous wordless wednesday posts was a collage of most of the guitars in the house… we currently have 11. acoustic, electric, 12 string etc. My husband plays.

  2. You know, ever since I started blogging, every time a stressful, unpleasant thing happens, my husband just says: “so there, now that’s something to blog about”. I’m beginning to think that stuff like happens just to give us writing fodder. And I love your pics, as usual :)

    • Yes, I know exactly what you mean… I hear these words more and more. Everything is for the blog. It’s funny!!! :)

  3. Oh, I know the bathroom looks terrible now, but once it’s done, I’m sure it’s gonna be fabulous and worth the wait and mess. Pictures when you’re all done!? (Funny you’re talking about a Blogger blog; I’m adding you on my Bloggyfriendsroll, but something’s not happy. It’s showing up different from the other ones, and two of my current ones are WordPress blogs with no problem. So I hope Blogger can fix it soon.)

    • I’m looking forward to a nice new shower and bathroom floor… it had to be done due to the leak issue… in the meantime, I try to ignore the mess. Weird about the blogroll thing. I do have a profile for blogger. But I know they changed things, so who knows what’s going on. That’s why I subscribe to all my fave blogs through e-mail.

  4. I prefer WordPress, too. :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE those guitars on the wall!!!!

I’ve gutted almost half of my house and I can put it all back together single-handedly, but bathrooms complete elude me. Once the fixtures are gone, I cannot figure out what goes where or how it will look when it’s all done.

Adorable photos. AS USUAL! :) Have a good weekend. And thanks for visiting and commenting on my William Seward House post! It was so encouraging!

    • Rebecca, it was a very informative article and I will read the others, as well. We do a lot of stuff ourselves, too but this was too much of a project, due to the leaking shower pan and all. Have a great weekend.

  5. Hi there Susi! I can remember having our bathroom all torn up for a remodel. The wait will be well worth it.

Visiting you from SITS! I love Saturday Share Fest and the SITS community. I hope you continue sharing there!

    • Thanks for stopping by here Ferly. I’m pretty new to the SITS community and I want to take some time to really get into it. :)

  6. Your bathroom is a familiar sight… we did ours over not to long ago…. Great pictures!
Hilary recently posted..And I will always love you…..My Profile

    • Thanks, Hilary. Hope you are doing okay. I think, it just bothers me because we didn’t have a choice… it had to be done. But I know, when everything is said and done and I take that first shower I will sigh in bliss!!! :)

  7. I feel your pain, truly…..my downstairs shower has looked like that for over 2 years. any day now he promises *side eye*
My hubster loves those flight simulation games too. I think he wanted to be a pilot in another life.

But the pool portion of your Essence of Now is pretty great!
RoryBore recently posted..TGIF: Holidays….Right. NowMy Profile

    • I am confident that my bathroom will get done in much less than two years… we are paying a pretty penny for it. Also, my hubby did take his share of flight instruction but didn’t finish to get his pilots licence. Maybe one day. Seeing two planes collide midair while pregnant with your first child can put a damper on that!

  8. Oh man…that gives me flashbacks of our bathroom demo…shudder.
    I am loving your pictures!

    • Thanks, Kimberly. I have to say that I’m becoming more and more interested in photography and love it so much!

  9. So cute! I love the one where your middle daughter is jumping into the pool. What a great moment!

Thanks for linking up with us.

  10. One of my bathrooms looks similar to yours. What a mess. I’m glad you got your internet fixed finally.

Thanks for joining us and of course we will have you.
Jessica recently posted..Peace, Love, and Tie-DyeMy Profile

    • Thanks, Jessica. Yes, it was touch and go for a while but it did get fixed. My bathroom still looks pretty aweful but there is some tile on the shower wall as of today. We are making progress.

  11. Oy. Renovations stink. But pools are awesome, as are games that the whole family enjoys. And awesome picture of your dog!! Learning to use manual can be so much fun (I’m still practicing, of course!).
Greta recently posted..Which hat do I wear today? My Profile

    • I’m still practicing myself and I can’t believe how much I now enjoy photography. Don’t even mention the renovations… had another leak today, after all the tile is finally up!!!
