I love this weeks prompt for Monday Listicles.
Cassie from Our Foto Friendly Family gave us this weeks prompt.
10 songs…
I love music, I love to sing loudly and off-key and I love to dance to music.
I also love this prompt.
Here are 10 of my favorite songs in no particular order:
1. Adele “Set Fire to the Rain”
Need I say more?
2. Neon Trees “Everybody Talks”
Just love this one right now. I catch myself singing along and bobbing around my seat!
3. Guns’n'Roses “November Rain”
Gets me every time. And that guitar solo by Slash… no words needed. (Also, the first song I slow danced to with my first boyfriend… I was 13. Sigh!)
4. Natalie Imbruglia “Torn”
My summer song the summer I graduated high school. A friend I worked with dubbed it my song! Still love it and still sing along!
5. BonJovi “Always”
I love the whole Cross Roads album. Really, my first foray into all thing Bon Jovi. I fell in love with the band. I still remember sitting on a bus full of 8th graders going on a class trip and driving by an arena where they were set to perform and wishing I could go.
6. Muse “Starlight”
Why this song? Where do I start? I can’t get enough of Muse and have “Eclipse” and Stephenie Meyer to thank for bringing their music into my life. This is by far one of my fave songs. It was my ringtone for quite some time and I put it back every so often.
7. Orianthi “According to You”
She was a back up musician on what was supposed to be Micheal Jackson’s big comeback tour. I love this song. Got the whole album and wish she was more known… I think she’s pretty incredible.
8. Madonna “Like a Prayer”
Gotta throw in some old school Madonna. Still some of my faves to dance to.
9. Sarah McLachlan “Elsewhere”
I still remember the first time I got into hubby’s car when we started dating and Sarah McLachlan was playing. He had me right there!!! This is by far one of my favorites of hers. It just reaches a place inside me. I can’t explain. It just is.
10. Carter Burwell “Love, Death, Birth”
The theme for the Twilight Saga, specifically Breaking Dawn Pt. 1. I love listening to this at night when the house is quiet and I’m working away on blog posts. (Like now.)
I see images from the movies, moments shared by Bella and Edward… Isn’t that what music is supposed to do, paint a picture in your mind?

I love me some Bonjovi too! Woohoo! Great pics
Thanks. Yes, BonJovi is great.
November Rain is an epic song. Seriously, I forgot all about it. Thanks for the reminder!
You are so welcome and yes, it is one of those epic songs.
Love the variety here.
That’s me… a little bit of everything!
Bon Jovi is my all time favourite. Actually, his song “Thank you for loving me” was our wedding song

Definitely very happy with the topic. It was fun to put together and November Rain was one of the first songs that popped into my head.
I think I only knew about half of those!

Like a Prayer is probably my favorite Madonna song – so good. I loved making this list, too – and thinking about all the memories associated with different songs!

Music and memories go hand in hand for me. I still prefer old school Madonna to her newer stuff.

I love Sarah McLachlan and completely forgot. I used to listen to the Mirrorball CD over and over.
Me too. That was my first S.M. cd… The hubs introduced me to all of her older stuff.
Sparkly Vampire writer did not introduce you to MUSE, I did! I had “Uprising” and “Hysteria” on a cd and you said they were “another of your wierdo bands Honey”
That may be so, but I didn’t know it was them at the time…
Ah
Bon Jovi and GnR
Great list!

I had never seen the “torn” video (living under a rock, I know). Wow. This is some selection you got there, Susi… nice!!!
Yeah, I’m all over the board. I’ll listen to pretty much anything except most country music.

Ah, great list! I like so many songs from here… Some oldies definitely bring back great memories. I don’t think I can even come up with ten songs–so hard and too many to choose from! (I watched November Rain–it’s been a while
)

Yay for November Rain. Took me forever to put this listicle together because I kept watching the videos!!!
Old school Madonna rocks! And if I had to choose a Muse song, I’d be One =)
That’s definitely a great one. There are so many…
BonJovi!! I just went to their concert a couple years ago. They were awesome!
I’ll have to go one of these years. A friend of mine goes to every concert they have close by. She loves them.

Love the Neon Trees. Great pick. And I wonder, too, why Orianthi did not have a follow-up to that single. I thought it was great. She needs a new manager or agent. Ellen
