I sit here on the couch, in front of the TV with the laptop in my lap and my girls snoring away next to me.
And two words stand out to me after watching this presidential debate.
Go vote!
That’s the most memorable line from tonight’s debate for me.
Go vote!
Two words in the closing sentence by tonight’s debate moderator Bob Schieffer.
I’m not one for discussing politics. Nor am I very political.
I also didn’t watch the two previous debates. I chose to read about them after the fact.
Tonight, I watched. Well, it was on in the background while I was getting some things done.
Because it was the last one. And also because it was held here in my adopted hometown of Boca Raton, Florida.
I know who I will vote for. Have known for a while.
This debate has not changed my mind.
There are some issues on which I won’t budge.
But I won’t tell you who, what or why.
We all have our opinions which is as it should be.
I’m ready to be done with the political rhetoric on Facebook. The mud slinging…
All I’m saying is…
Go vote!
If you want things to change. If you want your voice heard.
Go vote!
I will vote in this election for the first time ever in my 17 years of living here.
I will vote because for the first time, I can.
I will vote because I want my voice to count.
And win or lose… I can say that I voted!!!
