Don’t be late!

April 18, 2013

girls

I love the some of the new features on PicMonkey and love to play around and edit images more than ever. Between PicMonkey, Picasa and Photoshop Elements 11, I could spend days just editing… (No, this is not sponsored. Really, truly love it!)

Time for some Friday fun!!!

Each week, Hilary plans on listing four statements with a blank for us to fill in on our own blogs. If you want to join the fun and come up with four fill in’s of your own, please email them to her at Hilary(at)feelingbeachie(dot)com. If she uses them, she will add you as co-host to the hop! This week’s co-host is Uttley from Uttley’s Take – he came up with the last two statements!
Hilary would also LOVE it if you could please help her spread the word about this hop…. So, please tweet, FaceBook share, and add the linky to your post…

This week’s statements:

1. I hate __
2. I used to love playing _____ as a kid
3. Common sense says ______, but I tend to ____________
4. Once, I was surprised to find myself __________________.

My answers:

1. I hate, when people are late to an appointment!

2. I used to love playing Mau-Mau (a German card game) as a kid.

3. Common sense says to take everything with a grain of salt, but I tend to take a lot of things at face value.

4. Once, I was surprised to find myself home alone. (OK, it has happened more than once, but not very often with a family of 5!) 🙂

  • Debbie April 19, 2013 at 1:50 am

    Fun photos!
I can relate to # 1. Very aggravating when my clients do that. At least they should have the courtesy to call and let me know. Would be hard to find some alone time with such a big family. You must have enjoyed that!
    Schönes Wochenende!

    • Susi April 19, 2013 at 8:26 am

Debbie, I usually end up cleaning when they are all out of the house — music turned to loud and I can get so much more done!!! 🙂 Dir auch ein schoenes Wochenende!!!

I hate to be late. I have actually arrived so early that I got in ahead of everyone.

    • Susi April 19, 2013 at 8:25 am

I like being early too. The early bird gets the worm!!! 🙂

  • Kelly April 19, 2013 at 6:03 am

What a fun idea! I agree with Nicole- your pics are always great…
And I know what you mean with photo editing….it takes me forever (in a fun way!)

    • Susi April 19, 2013 at 8:22 am

      Thanks, Kelly. I appreciate that.

  • Anna April 19, 2013 at 6:12 am

I’m a new follower from the link-up. Just wanted to drop by and say hi!

I can really relate to 3. I’m horrible about that!

    • Susi April 19, 2013 at 8:21 am

Hi Anna, welcome. Thanks for stopping by. I’ll be over to say Hello in a bit.

  • Claudia April 19, 2013 at 7:00 am

Yeah, I hate it when #1 happens. I remember Mau Mau – hihi

    • Susi April 19, 2013 at 8:20 am

Claudia, I taught my kids Mau-Mau and they love it. 🙂

  • TBM April 19, 2013 at 8:11 am

I hate when people are late. Even if I have a book to read, it’s still annoying.

    • Susi April 19, 2013 at 8:20 am

It is, especially when you always try to be on time which isn’t always easy to do when you try to get three children out the door.

  • Ania April 19, 2013 at 8:28 am

    lovely pictures 🙂

    • Susi April 19, 2013 at 8:51 am

      Thank you!

  • Hilary April 19, 2013 at 11:52 am

I hate late and when you have to wait

    • Susi April 20, 2013 at 2:17 pm

Yeah, it’s no fun, Hilary. 🙂

  • Loy April 19, 2013 at 2:32 pm

Yeah, I agree with your being alone–it’s so seldom that it happens that it’s fun! Also, I, too, love to edit my photos–it’s so creative!

    • Susi April 20, 2013 at 2:16 pm

It can be fun that’s for sure? Editing can eat up a lot of my time when I’m really into it. 🙂

  • Arlene April 19, 2013 at 9:19 pm

Oh, I hate people who are consistently late! Anyone can have an off day, but to always be late to everything is inconsiderate. Unfortunately that seems to be the culture of South Florida. I’ve never gotten used to it.

    • Susi April 20, 2013 at 2:15 pm

Is it really a South Florida thing? I’ve been here for so long now but I’ll never get used to it.

  • Kimberly April 20, 2013 at 8:52 am

i used to be very punctual but then I decided that after waiting 20+ minutes to hours to get in to see my doctor, I figured I would return the favour and show up late too.
I love the picture of her and the peace sign. Bad ass.
I miss my photoshop. Our computer with it died…boo. But picmonkey is pretty cool too.

    • Susi April 20, 2013 at 2:15 pm

Kimberly, waiting at the doctors drives me crazy — why do they even give you an appointment when you sit there for 2 hours? Also, if you bought photoshop you should be able to download it again without having to pay if you sign in on Adobe.

  • Yvonne April 20, 2013 at 2:11 pm

I agree with your #’1 and 3. Have a great weekend!

    • Susi April 20, 2013 at 2:13 pm

      Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

  • Nicolette Springer April 20, 2013 at 10:45 pm

Your girls are so fun. I love seeing their personality in all your pics. We need to get the girls together very soon!

    • Susi April 20, 2013 at 11:42 pm

      Yes, we sure do!!! 🙂

  • Rorybore April 21, 2013 at 2:56 pm

I’m so jealous of your beautiful and probably warm sunshine.
we cannot seem to get both sun and warmth on the same day.

And I really want to hear more about finding yourself in the house alone. what was it like? what did you do? did time actually stop?? I can’t even recall…

    • Susi April 22, 2013 at 8:25 pm

Leslie, I’m afraid nothing crazy happens when I find myself alone at home. I usually end up giving the house a good once over. 🙂

  • Christine (Cook the Story) April 22, 2013 at 9:26 am

I hear you about not getting the house to yourself often. I feel the same way. And I also rarely take anything with a grain of salt. I take everything too seriously! Always!

    • Susi April 22, 2013 at 8:20 pm

Yeah, that’s me too. I take things way too seriously. Glad to know I’m not the only one. 🙂
