Friday Fill in Fun and other things

April 26, 2013

Its Friday morning and instead of getting ready to work on my to do list, I am reading and pondering the outrage created by an article in the Wall Street Journal, yesterday. I’m interested in it but can’t really muster any outrage or get indignant about it. I will however share this awesome post by Kludgy Mom Gigi Ross. It is by far the best “answer” I have read on the whole thing and the one I gladly share. What do you think about all of this?

I also want to tell you about the book I finished reading last night – “Heaven is Here” by Stephanie Nielson, author of the NieNieDialogues. My friend, the lovely Nicole of Sisters from another Mister let me borrow it last week, along with a few others. Once, I started reading, I couldn’t put it down. Nie’s story, as terrifying and heart-breaking as it is, is one of strength and perseverance. It is a story, I will not forget. I stand in awe of what her and her family have overcome and accomplished and it truly puts life in perspective. She is simply put an inspiration! Please, go read her book, you won’t regret it.

And now, I have to get a move on and get a few more things accomplished before my bestie comes in for a visit tonight. I will more than likely not get too much blogging, reading or commenting done until Monday. A little break is good for the soul, right? See you all next week and have a wonderful weekend!!!

Friday Fill in Fun with Hilary!!!

This week’s statements:

The color __ reminds me of ___
Lately ___ is ___ so ___
Does the sound of breaking glass make you ___________?
When I wander _______ I ______?

My answers:

1. The color blue reminds me of the ocean and bright, blue skies — relaxation!

2. Lately, reading is something I do every night so I am tired the next morning.

3. Does the sound of breaking glass make you say “Opa”?

4. When I wander along the beach with my toes in the sand I feel relaxed and stress just melts away.

I guess, walking along any time of waterway has it’s relaxing qualities. I like rivers and lakes, too. 🙂

Kimberly, the book is great. It is a sad story with a different kind of happy ending.
