5 things that make me uncomfortable

May 3, 2013

So, yesterday was a wash, in more ways than one! I just couldn’t think of something fun or great for the prompt.
Another day, another chance…
Day 3: Things that make you uncomfortable.
1. Confrontation ย – I don’t like it and try to avoid it at all costs.
2. Crowds – It never used to bother me to be in a big crowd. Now, I’d much rather not deal with it. I get kinda anxious.
3. Driving in Miami. Oh my, the traffic there just gets to me. I’m glad, I don’t have to go down there too often. And I have made hubby drive on more than oneย occasion. ๐Ÿ™‚
4. Meeting new people. I’m usually okay after chatting a while but the initial contact makes me want to cringe.
5. Going to our community gym or any gym for that matter, not that I’ve ever done that. I just couldn’t imagine huffing and puffing in front of other people. I think, I’ll stick to working out in the comfort of home.
Okay, this wasn’t so easy after all… I’m sure there are other things that make me uncomfortable but for the life of me I can’t think of anything right now. Might have something to do with the fact that I keep getting distracted by the TV. ย ๐Ÿ™‚
Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

The driving makes me uncomfortable. Everything else is cool. Glad to meet you. It’s not so scary on blogs, is it?

I don’t like being in huge crowds either. I feel much more comfortable when there are not so many people around me and I know what’s going on.

You know it is funny—crowds never used to bother me but as I get older I seem to shy away from them more and more…..and driving in really big big places is not my thing either. I let Chris do it. ๐Ÿ™‚

Beth Ann, it’s exactly the same way with me… I never had issues with it but now it bothers me more and more!

Right there with you on #1, #2 and #4. Driving in NYC in my case doesn’t bother me, it can be kinda fun really ๐Ÿ˜‰ And the gym, well, I do prefer my home gym or going for a jog by myself, but mostly it is out of convenience that I don’t go to a gym anymore.

Claudia, I know what you mean by convenience. I do prefer to be active outside and not on machines — walking, swimming, biking! I really need to get my butt back in gear. ๐Ÿ™‚

I wonder if anyone truly likes confrontation.
but totally with you on the driving in big cities. and big crowds too — but that’s because there are too many dumb people who don’t know how to walk or behave when they are in large groups of people. they still think they are home in their own hallway. especially those “Dead Stop Walkers” ugh.

Yeah, those are definitely super annoying!

You are doing way better at following the prompts than me ๐Ÿ˜‰ I totally agree about the gym. I feel like it takes so much more time. By the time you drive there, get set up and so on I could be done at home.

Meeting new people is tough for me too. It’s easier when the kids are around because they are like little ice breakers but one on one with other adults or mom can be intimidating.
