~ Tonight, I did something, I never thought I would ever too – I washed a football uniform. An American football uniform. And as proud and happy as I am for my boy, my German heart cries just a bit that it’s not a soccer uniform. I still hold out some hope that he’ll give it a try.
I have mixed feelings about the football thing to begin with. My heart bursts with pride when I see him in his uniform, on the field with his team mates, practicing. But I’m also scared. Scared for his safety and worried about possible injury.
So far, he really seems to enjoy himself and I’m happy about that. We have never pushed the kids into any sports, never dragged them from one activity to the next. He’s the one that chose to sign up which I think, is great. We’ll see how it goes… Wish me luck and send some chocolate, please!
~ I also got a new “toy” today. A Hoover Windtunnel Air vacuum cleaner. I don’t know why I’m still so amazed what a difference a new vacuum makes. I was so happy with the way it worked that I (with a little help from little sister) vacuumed everything in sight.
I don’t think, I’ve ever owned a Hoover before – I’ve always been a Bissell girl. But after taking a few models for a test drive at Target today and realizing that this one was on sale, we bought it. I’m a happy customer.
~ Little sister has been saying some hilarious things lately and I often look at her in wonder. Some of you may have seen this Facebook update from a few days ago.
“Little One earlier this morning: “Mommy the computer got chilled!” Me: “What?” … She thought the computer FROZE!
After I checked it, she turns to me and says: “It’s okay, mommy, the computer chilled out again!”
It still cracks me up. I really need to write more of what she says down – some of it is just too funny not to share. She also uses some big words for a 4 year old. I don’t remember her siblings doing that. She is just a little fire cracker. 🙂
Time to join Hilary for her Follow Friday Four Fill in Fun… Make sure you put on your thinking caps and send some statements to her. She’ll make you co-host if she uses yours!!!
