How far will you go? {A Quote and some thoughts on flooding}

life quote george washington carver

I found this quote on my Android Best Life Quote and Quotations app this morning and it spoke to me.

(Yes, I have a quote app on my phone. )

Why today?

I don’t know.

I never know just what type of quote will speak to me on any given day.

Today, this one spoke to me.

Tomorrow, it will be something else.

All I know, is that I love quotes of all types…

I hope, you are all having a good day.

I’ve been glued to my computer following all the news of the bad flooding in Germany, as well as Austria and the Czech Republic.

Seeing the pictures, and talking to my cousin and hearing what is going on is very worrisome. It’s frightening, really. So much water… everywhere.

And talking about water and flooding. According to our local news, we can expect much rain again ourselves here – 5 to 10 inches tomorrow alone.

Knowing that and seeing how the lakes are close to street level, I expect some flooding in our neighborhood and the lakes possibly meeting in the middle of the road again.

My backyard still has puddles in the corners and the ground is still saturated that as soon as it rains more again, I will have a pond for the birds to wash themselves in! Also, looking forward to the frog concerts again! 🙂

Wherever you are, I hope, you are dry and safe!

Have a good one my friends and don’t forget to take a look at the tutorial I posted yesterday!

I hope so too. The situation is pretty bad and could get worse before it gets better. 🙁

I love that quote!!! Absolutely love it!!! It is raining more here, too, but I don’t think to the magnitude of what you are getting and definitely not like what is going on in your beloved Germany. Praying for safety for all. Makes me appreciate the sunny days, that is for sure.

Thanks, Beth Ann. Yes, after living under a near constant cloud cover the past month or so, it really makes me appreciate the sun. I miss it! ;(

This quote is so very true. We will have been in aloof those roles down the line in our life. My prayers for the families affected by the water.
