I’m so glad she’s doing better! That looks like my mind of shopping trip. 😉 And oh my gosh…. those sandboxed are giving me anxiety. Ha!

    • Susi June 19, 2013 at 2:08 pm

Greta, she had a blast shopping – me, not so much! 🙂 The sand boxes are “fun”. 😉

  • Kerstin @ Auer Life June 18, 2013 at 11:36 pm

I love the open road as well. Road trips are awesome and as soon as my kids are old enough that I can take off a few days with my husband without them, there will be another road trip. Because right now? Puking in the car? Not so much fun 😉

    • Susi June 19, 2013 at 2:07 pm

Kerstin, knock on wood – I haven’t had to deal with car sickness with any of my kids. I do remember getting nauseous on longer drives when I was young.

you and me both, I love the open road. Looks like you’ve been having some beautiful weather! summertime at it’s finest 🙂

    • Susi June 19, 2013 at 2:04 pm

Sarah, this past week has been really nice – no rain. But it’s definitely summer in Florida – so so hot!!!

  • Tracie June 19, 2013 at 9:36 am

I love that bright blue water. It makes me want to go swimming.

Glad your little one is feeling better.

    • Susi June 19, 2013 at 2:01 pm

Thanks, Tracie. I love the way the pool water looks too and on these hot days it’s a welcome relief. 🙂

At first glance, I thought she was lying on a painting…
I wonder how you keep that carpet clean from the sand!!!

    • Susi June 19, 2013 at 1:59 pm

Keeping the carpet clean is a bit of a chore. Most of the kids are really good about it and listen when we tell them to stay inside the sandbox… Plus, the cleaning crews vacuum really good at night.

  • Nicolette Springer June 19, 2013 at 10:48 am

Happy to hear she is doing better. I love having a helper in the kitchen too. I want to get the girls a sandbox but Jon thinks it’s going to be a disaster. Any suggestions?

    • Susi June 19, 2013 at 1:56 pm

Nicolette, all I can say about the sandbox is get one you can cover and that is sturdy. The kids love the sandboxes and mine had one when they were smaller… They are fun but messy. 🙂 Little One bounced right back – so glad it was only a 24 hour virus.

  • Mama Melch June 19, 2013 at 7:47 pm

Those sandboxes do look like fun, but I’m soo not that brave. Our Kita in Berlin had a smaller one in the room, and I swear the teacher must have swept the floor 200 times a day to keep it that neat. Looks like you are having a great summer so far!

    • Susi June 19, 2013 at 10:14 pm

It does take a lot of sweeping and vacuuming to keep it neat. But the kids are having a blast and love it. So far, so good. I cannot complain. 🙂

I remember the “spirit week” at summer camp. backwards day, crazy hair day, pajama day…it was so much fun.
yeah, the sandboxes. I can see the fun….and clean up dilemna.
we use dried beans, peas, and rice inside the house. the kids seems to love playing with it still.

Great collection of photos! I love these little glimpses into your life. 🙂 Hope you’re doing well, Susi! You’re always so sweet to stop by and leave comments. I really appreciate that. Have a great day!

    • Susi June 22, 2013 at 10:49 am

Thanks, Kristi. It’s my pleasure, really. I’m doing good – just busy now!!! 🙂

  • TBM June 20, 2013 at 6:00 am

I wish i could rebound that quickly from an illness.

    • Susi June 22, 2013 at 10:48 am

You and me both. She has a cold now – bit no fever so far. Hope it doesn’t get worse!

  • Elaine A. June 20, 2013 at 12:30 pm

I see shopping at Justice in my future. And it scares me a little. 😉

And I love that shot of the roads and clouds!

    • Susi June 22, 2013 at 10:46 am

Be scared, be very scared, Elaine. I cannot get my girl out of there fast – ever!!! 😉
