Week 117 of Follow Friday Four Fill in Fun and my first Insta.gram Video

June 21, 2013

Week 2 of camp is done and I’m looking forward to a quiet and relaxing weekend with some laundry and chores thrown in for good measure.

While I’m sitting here, trying to get the hop done (I was too tired last night) my girls are enjoying an after dinner swim…

6-21 pool time

And they are helping me play with new video feature on Insta.gram. Not that that’s a hardship for them, they love being in front of the camera. Middle’s choice of camp certainly attests to that – Musical Theater Camp – singing, dancing and acting all rolled into one. It’s just perfect for her… 🙂

Here is a link to my first successful video on IG.

And now, without further ado – the 117th Follow Friday Four Fill in Fun!!!

Each week, Hilary plans on listing four statements with a blank for us to fill in on our own blogs. If you want to join the fun and come up with four fill in’s of your own, please email them to her at Hilary(at)feelingbeachie(dot)com. If she uses them, she will add you as co-host to the hop! This week’s co-host is Rachael from Print & Stitch – she came up with the last two statements!

Hilary would LOVE it if you could please help her spread the word about this hop…. So, please tweet, FaceBook share, and add the linky to your post…

This week’s statements:
1. How is it ____?
2. When I ___ I ____
3. I am not sure what I like best ____ or __ because ___
4. I am happiest when I’m ____

My answers:

1. How is it 7:18 pm already and I’m just now getting to the hop? Oh yeah, I’m out of the house all day…

2. When I was not working from 8 to 4 I had a lot more time for blogging.

3. I am not sure what I like best watching my girls dance and have fun or watching them sleep and look like little angels because both have their advantages!

4. I am happiest when I’m with those I love… mainly my family.

I’m happiest when I’m with my family too!

    That pool looks so inviting!

The pool is very inviting. My girls have been in it everyday since its stopped raining all the time. They are my water babies. 🙂

I hear you about work getting in the way of blogging… i have about 35 minutes in the AM before work to blog…

    • Susi June 22, 2013 at 10:43 am

I can’t seem to get anything done in the morning even though I get up before everyone and prepare most of the stuff for camp the night before. I usually get some things done after the kids are in bed but I’ve been so tired… running after hundred’s of kids each day is exhausting!!! 🙂

I’m going with the sleeping angels because that gives me more time to myself 🙂

    • Susi June 22, 2013 at 10:40 am

      Yes, that’s a big advantage! 🙂

  • Karen June 22, 2013 at 9:28 am

Oh, yes… working outside of the house definitely changes blogging patterns. I think I’ve posted more this summer break so far than I did all school year.

    • Susi June 22, 2013 at 10:40 am

Karen, I’ve noticed that. I’m going to try to keep up with it as best as I can. 🙂

I know what you mean about late night blogging. with summer now here and nicer weather, I am out of the house all day and cannot do any blogging until after they are in bed, after a workout….which puts it around 10 pm. which means I am often up to midnight. it’s not the best schedule at all. but quitting is not an option!!! haha
glad to hear the camp thing is working out so well for everyone.

    • Susi June 23, 2013 at 2:34 pm

I’m so tired by 10 pm these days that I cannot put a coherent thought together… Let alone stay up until midnight! Going to have to figure out how to do this…

You did more blogging when you worked 8 – 4?! Hard to believe, hm, well, maybe it is the hours from 4 – … that you are missing now to blog 😉 I know I am a lot less present since I started my 8 – 5 job in January and there are just always so many things to do – LOL. I am sure glad though, you are having so much fun at the summer camp. Now I’m off to check out your insta video, somehow I missed it and I yet have to play around with instavideo

    • Susi June 23, 2013 at 2:36 pm

Not sure if I put this correctly – but I definitely meant that I have a lot LESS time for blogging since starting work. I mean, I lose all those hours that I had before and when I get home it’s dinner, bath time, packing for the next day and getting the kids of to bed. By the time it’s quiet, I’m usually too tired to put anything together! 🙂

Both of my girls would love to go to a Musical Theater camp! We have one that is about an hour away from us but it is a daily one and I just couldn’t make that kind of drive twice a day and afford to do it. I’m glad your daughter could go. That has got to be a blast!

    • Susi June 23, 2013 at 9:03 pm

Kristen, this worked out great for all of us. All three of my kids are at this camp – one in regular day camp, one in Robotics and one in Musical Theater and I work there – so it’s all good! 🙂
