A side trip to the beach {Wordless Wednesday}

August 13, 2013

We live all the way west, about 30 minutes from the beach. Our dentist is all the way east, maybe about 5 minutes from the beach.

The benefit of having a dentist so far away from home but close to the beach? You guessed it. An unexpected side trip to said beach -after an all clear for all three kiddos… no cavities – and some lunch at BurgerFi.

    I’m totally more a mountain girl than a beach girl, but this is awesome. I want to go to the beach! (not to the dentist, though ;))

      Kerstin, I have always loved the mountains, and hiking and stuff but I so love the openness of Florida and the ocean…

      No jumping in the water this trip – we were not prepared for an actual beach day and being Floridians, we don’t actually sit at the beach in the middle of summer!!! 🙂

    I wish I could get to the beach so easily! Great pictures. And how grown up is your oldest girl looking?

    No cavities = ice cream for us too! Fun fun fun at the beach is always a great surprise way to cap off a day, though a little more difficult for those of us in the midwest. Maybe it’s time for a visit down south again?

      I am always happy when we come away cavity free… they don’t have the best dental routine, as much as I am always harping on it!!! And yes, they love the beach. 🙂

    Beautiful! I would love to be at that beach right now. With a cocktail in one hand and a book in the other.

    I am a beach girl and you are so lucky to be so close to the beach (or your dentist). This is a good incentive to get kids to visit the dentist. Just like me, my kids fear the dentist too.

    • Susi August 16, 2013 at 1:02 pm

      I think, I’m pretty lucky that all three of my kids really don’t mind going to the dentist. It’s something that needs to be taken care of and our dentist as well as the hygienists are very good with the kids. 🙂
