One week of school under our belt. A three day weekend. And a three day week coming up. Sounds good to me. I’ve shared my feelings about back to school and little one beginning her school career earlier this week so I won’t bore you with that again. If you would like you can read about it here.

Most of the week was spent getting used to the early morning schedule and the back to school routine but we had some fun too.

9-1 horsing around

The boy and little one were horsing around one afternoon and I caught them in the act. So fun to watch them play and tease each other.

9-1 sibling love

Of course, the small, tender moments are special too and sweet to boot. Little One adores her big brother and he often gets protective when she’s doing something she shouldn’t. I call him her second “daddy”!

9-1 my pretty girls

Sisters. My pretty girls on the way to Sunday lunch last week. Little One tries to copy her big sister every chance she gets – here she “stole” her big sisters sunglasses. Good thing she had another pair.

9-1 Finn

Our Finn sitting pretty in some morning light.

bowling fun

Since both the big kids were gone for sleepovers we spent some one on one time with little one and she was treated to some “only child for one night” activities. Bowling was a big hit. I never much cared for bowling but have to say I enjoyed it a lot and can’t wait to go back with the whole family.

9-1 little one

9-1 wildlife sanctary

This morning we headed out to pick up the big kids from their respective friends’ houses but made a few pit stops first. After lunch at one of hubby’s favorite seafood restaurants we headed to a wildlife sanctuary. We’ve been there before and I love it. All of the animals there are or were injured and are being treated there. Some will be released back into the wild, others will stay and live out their lives in the sanctuary.

9-1 big kids and mommy

Mommy got her big kids back and the whole brood is back together. On the way home we stopped by Burgerfi. I’m not a huge burger fan but oh my, these are something else. I get mine wrapped in lettuce instead of on a bun and it’s just so juicy and yummy. The kids love the super cool soda machines. They have soooooo many flavors, it’s amazing.

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday weekend and a great week!

I love the last pic of course. But all the sibling pics r just too darn cute. And bowling. I’ve been wanting to go too – especially since my littlest one have never been. I’m sure he’ll love it.

Janice, the bowling was really fun. Little One was so excited every time the pics fell over – even if it was just one. πŸ™‚

Danke, Katrin. We have quite a few sanctuaries around here, one that is specifically for the preservation of sea turtles. I think, I want to go there soon. πŸ™‚

Fabulous pictures and such a great thing to have some alone time with the little one! Sometimes they feel left out when the older ones get to go places they can’t go quite yet. You guys are great parents!!! Love all the family love going on!

Aww. Thanks. Yes, we try to give them all some special time and do age appropriate things.
