This past Saturday we finally made it to Boston’s on the Beach to see Amber Leigh and her dad play again. They have been playing there most Saturdays for a long time and I have pictures buried somewhere of hubby on stage with them playing guitar, while the boy played the tambourine – he was so little then. Amber’s dad, Randy, was hubby’s multi-media teacher in high school and is responsible for him playing guitar and bass.

Amber Leigh is definitely a rising star and a woman of many talents, and she’s super sweet to boot. Her smile is infectious. My girls were absolutely awed by her and it made their day – probably year – that they were asked to go on stage with her. They were eager to get up there and sing Taylor Swift’s “You belong with me” with Amber Leigh but did lose some of their nerve when they realized it wasn’t just mommy and daddy watching them and there was a for-real microphone in front of them! 🙂

That’s awesome and your girls are so adorable! And Amber Leigh is quite the singer, I heard that Taylor Swift songs are really hard to sing (I know sure as heck I couldn’t sing any of it).

Amber Leigh is awesome. She started performing there when she was only 11. And it was so sweet of her and her dad to invite the girls up onstage with them.

Yeah, nowadays, I probably wouldn’t have gotten on stage either – way back when I had no such problem. 🙂
