Try as I might, I didn’t make it out with my big girl camera to capture anything for this week’s prompts but had plenty to choose from on my phone. So here are my yellow/shine interpretations as captured by my iPhone.
I’ve mentioned before that Fall doesn’t really exist here in Florida and it’s very rare to see leaves actually changing and falling off the trees. But we still have lots and lots of flowers and bushes blossoming and many of these blossoms are, you guessed it, yellow!!!
These are the same blossoms, the one on the left shows how they look in the morning and then the one on the right shows them in the evening. It’s like they close up and go to sleep at night only to reawaken and open up in the morning.
The tree on the top right actually has a few yellow leaves on it. I couldn’t quite believe my eyes.
This one always attracts bees and butterflies. Yesterday a particular vicious looking one was buzzing around the blossoms. I tried not to get too close to it. The memory of having a beehive stuck in my hair (twice) and getting stung numerous times makes me very cautious around bees and wasps.
In the afternoons, when the girls and I walk the dog we always seek some shade under these big trees and the sun always shines through the canopy. So pretty, especially the dappled shade it creates.
