Snapshot Sunday (November 3)

November 3, 2013

How are you this beautiful Sunday morning afternoon?

Did you enjoy the extra hour of sleep?

I sure did and I cannot believe how gorgeous it is out today. We had a Florida style “cold-front”. There is a breeze, the sun is shining, not a cloud in sight and the temps dropped to about 77 degrees Fahrenheit.

It pretty much looks like this.

It was a pretty busy week with lots of fun things happening thanks to Halloween. There was the final costume prep, parties that kept me at school all day on Thursday and my little vampire speed racing while out for Trick or Treat.

Ally and I loved watching the squirrels play in the trees. They are such funny little creatures and they will let you know when your presence is not appreciated.

As some of you know, I love rooibos tea and whenever family comes to visit from Germany they bring me some loose leaf rooibos because it’s a lot cheaper there. Every time I open my tin, I feel loved – it has these cute little strawberry flavored hearts mixed in. Just makes me smile.

Friday was date night. Our friends, Hilary and Marc came down to Florida for a few days of R&R and whenever they do, we go out to dinner sans kids. Hubby even brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers earlier that day. How sweet is that?

Yesterday was one of those days where I had one of those pinch me moments about how lucky I am to live where I do. Florida this time of year is simply glorious and our day at the beach was proof of that. I don’t mean to brag, truly, it’s just that even after all this time that I’ve lived here I will never get over how lucky I am. I am a Florida girl through and through now …

My little beach babes were tired out after our day of fun in the sun and Ally fell asleep within 5 minutes of being in the car.

Our little Gracie has also been enjoying our walks a lot more with the cooler weather and the breeze.

So, there you have it, a few snapshots from the week. Hope you are all enjoying your weekend.

    77 F = 25 C up here.
which means for us: we are finally putting on shorts and tshirts and heading to the beach weather! LOL
but not today, since it is only 3 C – which is 37.4 F for you.
the kids now have on hats and mitts to go outside. I have finally worn socks since last April.
Sounds like a darn good week you’ve had – so happy for you and Hilary to share time together.

I think, all in all it was a great week, especially since it was louse free. (Knock on wood.) I enjoyed our time with Hilary tremendously. It was over too soon.
