Gloomy Sky

November 9, 2013

gloomy sky 2

This is what the sky has looked like since yesterday. We’ve had intermittent rain since last night. A perfectly gloomy day for staying home and doing homey things. I’ve gotten quite a bit of cleaning done and spent some time snuggling on the couch with Ally.

friday night lights - bleachers

Friday night lights. First time for everything. Last night was the homecoming game at the kids’ school. I don’t really follow what goes on with the teams but from what Conner has told us, the middle school team isn’t doing so hot. And the high school team lost their last game as well, making it the first time in years that they haven’t made the play-offs.

rainy night

And the one time we actually make it to a game because Conner was supposed to play at the half-time show with band – it starts pouring… We all got soaked and the bounce houses they had set up for the kids turned into water slides. You should have seen Ally. I didn’t actually get any pics of her soaking wet, I was too busy trying to keep as dry as possible and keeping her in line.

Band didn’t play and we left as soon as we could to snuggle up on the couch and warm up!

Bummer the game got rained on! But I do always enjoy those “homey” days when I can get some cleaning done and just enjoy a little peaceful time on the couch with my babies. 🙂

Holly, I do too. Sometimes there is nothing better than to sit on the couch and snuggle and not leave the house. 🙂

Sorry about the weather! Snuggling up on the couch is the best thing to do on a rainy day!

Oh what a disappointment to not hear the band and to get drenched in the meantime. Ugh. Not the most fun but I am sure it will be the first of many of these adventures—-with 3 kids you are going to have a lot of these fun things to attend!!! Just pack the ponchos!

It’s a good thing there is a holiday and a Spring concert each year where we can see the kids play. 🙂

Yes, that it was – very dark and angry with the wind to prove it.
