Let it go… and Follow Friday Fill in Fun

December 26, 2013

ally listening to music

I spent most of the day with this little cutie since big sister left to spent some time with her bestie today. Ally got one more present today because it didn’t get here in time for Christmas morning. She adores her new mp3 player and has been singing and dancing around the house once I loaded it with some of her favorites. On constant repeat “Let it go” from the Frozen soundtrack that was under the tree. We both love the movie and want to see it again before the break is over!

Time to join Hilary for some Follow Friday Four Fill in Fun

My answers:

  1. Every time I hear an old Take That song I think of my best friends from Germany!
  2. Sometimes I feel like I forgot how to speak German because I often can’t remember certain words!
  3. So if there was one New Years resolution you could make it would be not to make any because you know you can keep it.
  4. If I could have any pet it would be a German Shepherd and I would play catch with (it) him!

My youngest can speak a little German, thanks to his courses in high school. Its funny to hear him speak, and pick up words in random movies we watch. Happy Friday!

I imagine it would be funny to hear that if you don’t speak the language. 🙂 thanks for stopping by!

It is amazing that certain songs will bring back memories. Love it! Have a good day!

Take that, huh?! So, who was your favorite of them ;)?
I don’t think you are in any danger to really, really forget German, Susi. Even though America is your new home, you grew up with German. Yes, you may / will forget some words, but the majority will stick. And should you ever be in a German environment again, everything will come back – I am very certain of it.

Don’t feel bad….I often forget English words, and I AM English. LOL
My girls have been Frozen this, Frozen that since they saw it. They had received some money from their grandparents that live 17 hours away, and we took them out Boxing Day to see if there were any Frozen toys. Nope. Nada. Not a one was left in the store. They were so sad. But I think they did manage to find something in every other Disney Princess or Fairy. ha
My son saved his money from his birthday and Christmas and is proudly bopping around to his new iPod. I think the song was a Katy Perry one – not sure what to think about that. I was expecting something more Star Wars like. 🙂

I know about not finding Frozen toys at the store – it was bad here before Christmas. I was able to find Anna and Kristoff but Ally really, really wants Elsa – which she will find under my mom’s tree tomorrow!!! Plus an outfit for her to dress up in!!! Good thing that my mom went shopping early… 🙂
