Here I am again, back with an all new Snapshot Sunday for this year. I was going back and forth trying to decide if I should rename it Project 365 because I’ve seen many other blogs do it that way but decided to stick to Snapshot Sunday instead. I’m starting the count over for the year but will keep the premise the same – a look back at my week in (mostly) Instagram pictures. If you do a Project 365 or a similar weekly look back leave a link in the comments – I’d love to visit and say hello!!! Oh, and if you are on Instagram – one of my all time favorite ways to connect, leave your user name – I’m bocafrau!!!

The boy turned 13 last Sunday and as is typical for him and a lot of teens (as I’ve found out) he’s not too fond of picture taking! 🙂
My girls and I on the way to lunch with great-grandma on New Year’s Eve.
I decided to give the photo-a-day challenge by Fat Mum Slim on IG a go again. This was for the prompt “starting with G” – a sample of hubby’s guitars.
The boy got some paintball gear for Christmas and for his birthday, his friends and him went to a paintball field to have some fun!
We are so lucky down here in Florida – the temps have been unseasonably warm with a few cool days thrown in here and there… It’s been just about perfect!!! Sorry to all my snowed in friends up North – I don’t envy you. Please, stay warm and safe!!!
The first thing I baked in the new year – banana bread! This one was so moist and delicious, especially with my new black tea from Germany. A perfect afternoon treat.
Homemade cheesy mac and cheese a la the Pioneer Woman – so gooooood. We had unexpected dinner guests and I needed to come up with something very quickly – this did the trick!
Hubby was at work, Conner at his friend’s house so the girls and I decided to enjoy this beautiful, cool day and go out and play. I love visiting nature preserves and wandering around the boardwalks hoping to catch a glimpse of wild life.
We also visited Gumbo Limbo, a turtle rehabilitation and nature preserve. It’s wonderful to see the turtles be brought back to full health and then released back into the ocean.
Hubby and I on our first “date” of the year – my FIL’s and his best childhood friend’s 60th birthday party. We went without the kids but still had to “babysit” hubby’s grandma.
Another entry for photo-a-day: “words to live by”…
Hope everyone has a wonderful week! For us it’s back to school and a new job for me (more on that later). It’s going to be a tough few days getting used to a 6 AM wake-up call again!
P.S. Focus on Mom will return this coming Wednesday – stay tuned for more info! Hope you had the chance to get in the picture over the holidays and are ready to share them with Nicolette and I!!!
