Snapshot Sunday #1 – The week in review

January 5, 2014

Here I am again, back with an all new Snapshot Sunday for this year. I was going back and forth trying to decide if I should rename it Project 365 because I’ve seen many other blogs do it that way but decided to stick to Snapshot Sunday instead. I’m starting the count over for the year but will keep the premise the same – a look back at my week in (mostly) Instagram pictures. If you do a Project 365 or a similar weekly look back leave a link in the comments – I’d love to visit and say hello!!! Oh, and if you are on Instagram – one of my all time favorite ways to connect, leave your user name – I’m bocafrau!!!

Click on any of the images to open a slide show and see captions!

Hope everyone has a wonderful week! For us it’s back to school and a new job for me (more on that later). It’s going to be a tough few days getting used to a 6 AM wake-up call again!

P.S. Focus on Mom will return this coming Wednesday – stay tuned for more info! Hope you had the chance to get in the picture over the holidays and are ready to share them with Nicolette and I!!!

Katrin, yes, we enjoyed the last two weeks off from school and work and I think, we had lots of great family moments together. Have a great week!

My son who will be turning 13 is not fond of me taking his picture either. Its the age i guess.
My husband would so envy that guitar collection.
Love that close up picture of you and the girls striking a pose in the back.
    Great week!

Thanks, Alma. It took the hubby quite a while to get his collection to where it is today – it is also ever changing. He’ll end up trading one or the other guitar, depending on what mood he is in musical wise. πŸ™‚ I love that picture of me and the girls too. I’ve seen similar ones around and the idea just popped into my head – glad I went for it! Have a great week!

I always love stopping by your Sunday post. I know I have seen most pictures already on Instagram etc. but still, having them all together in one place looks great. And, yes, you are right at the beginning of the year there are many 365 projects around. For the first time ever I have started one on my blog 365 x abstract with my phone. We will see how I go. If it doesn’t work out I may switch to 52 x like you are doing πŸ˜‰

It’s so hard to keep up with a 365 project even though I take at least one photo a day anyways but still. I like looking back at the week and see what happened!!! It’s a great scrapbook. πŸ™‚

Love the pictures. Good luck with the 6am wakeup calls. Ug, I’m not a morning person.

    • Susi January 6, 2014 at 12:59 pm

TBM, me neither – at all. And it looks like my kids are following in my foot steps and not their early riser father!!! πŸ™‚

I like the name Sunday Snapshot πŸ™‚
Hopefully you didn’t have a hard time getting up early this morning… My husband is back to work and the kids are in school, yay!
    (also: great pictures, Susi!)

Thanks, Kerstin. I liked the name too that’s why I decided to keep it! It was not as horrible as it could have been getting up so early even though it was a rough night being woken up by two of the kids numerous times…
Enjoying today and tomorrow at home (also cleaning) before starting my new job Wednesday or Thursday. πŸ™‚

We have freezing rain and wind and sometimes snow and the buses were cancelled so instead of first day back to school and mama packing up Christmas decorations *breathe* They Are All Here. LOL
So I am quite jealous of those 80 degree temperatures today.
LOVE the picture on the bridge.

Well, we are down to about 60 degrees right now with a low of 40 tonight and only a high of 62 tomorrow. We got our sweaters ready!!! πŸ™‚ Stay warm and safe!!!

I’m eager to find out about your new job! I’m thinking it involves teaching at your kids’ school? I ask because I would love to be in that situation. Right now, it’s just subbing. But how on earth do you keep up with blogging when you are working, Susi? I.just.cannot.fathom! πŸ˜‰

Sandra, I am actually not teaching – don’t have my full BA for that. But I am working as the science lab assistant… I’ll explain more later. πŸ™‚ As for blogging – I’m so not ready to give it up but there will be times/days where I just won’t get to it. There’ll be many picture posts in the future!!!
