We are back! Nicolette and I are thrilled to return with Focus on Mom after a short break for the holidays – a busy time for all of us and also a time to enjoy being with family and friends and making memories. We hope you had a chance to get in the picture and are ready to share some of those shots with us!!!
Here are a few of my recent Focus on Mom shots.
On a recent trip to Disney I made sure to get myself in the picture – even if it was just a few selfies. I was the family photographer and in between getting on rides, meeting princesses and Minnie, I drove my kids and husband crazy trying to capture memories! But capture them I did. What’s even harder than getting yourself in the picture? Getting your teenager in the picture!!! I had Ashley snap this shot of Conner and myself and I’m glad for it. He’s growing so fast and seemed to have just shot up in height over the past few months. I know by the end of this year he’ll likely tower over me… And that thought just made my tummy do a flip!
My girls are much more willing “victims”, especially Ash – she’s likely to be in most pictures. Here we are on the way to a New Year’s Eve lunch with great-grandma.
This was officially the first picture of the new year – we all made it to midnight which I honestly didn’t think would happen. But I guess we got to a point where a second wind hit and ended up staying up until about 1 in the morning. It took some cajoling but Conner finally decided to stop giving me a hard time and get in the picture – he even smiled! Started my year off right. 🙂
The girls and I spent Friday enjoying the beautiful weather here in South Florida with a trip to Gumbo Limbo Nature Center and shortly after we arrived one of the volunteers offered to take a picture of me and the girls together! A first for this year and I hope a good omen for more family pictures – I don’t remember anyone offering to take a picture of the whole family when we were out and about and I’d really love more of those!
And the next day, someone else offered to take a picture of Corey and I – definitely a great start to another great year of photographs! 🙂 Don’t we look cute all gussied up for a fun night? 😉
Now it’s your turn to get in front of the camera and get yourself in the picture!!! If you write up a post, leave a link in the comments for some comment love from Nicolette and I.
