Our week in Instagrams…

January 25, 2014

These past two weeks have been pretty busy with me working late (past my scheduled time) every day. By the time the four of us (the kids and I) get home it’s time to cook dinner, do homework, maybe do a little laundry and then get ready for bed. Once I have time to decompress a little I’m usually too tired to sit in front to the computer and try to think of something to blog about. All I want to do is browse through Facebook and read a few posts… It’s a good thing I love my job so much!!! 🙂

As always, click on an image to open the slide show and to read the captions! Enjoy!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. We are off to the big county fair to eat lots of fair food, say hello to a few critters and ride some rides!!! See you guys soon.

P.S. The blog got a little update because my genesis theme got an update and I wanted to try it on for size. So far I like it. I’ve been really into streamlining and simplifying the look of the blog. The home page still has the featured post and post excerpts for you to look through and the sidebar with the usual features of where you can find me when I’m not blogging! The actual blog pages now feature a full width look where the photos and posts take center stage and then some info can be found in the footer if you don’t feel like heading back to the home page. I may still tweak a few things here and there but for now I’m pretty happy with how it looks. Let me know what you think! xoxo

Well, your days and week do sound very familiar to me… It’ll get better, managing, allocating times etc. at the very least you love your job, a BIG plus.
Love the new simplified layout of your site. Am viewing it on my iPad right now, but will have a look later on the desktop. I am sure you’ll do more tweaking (e.g. header photo, right?!), I always do too.

Claudia, not sure about the header photo yet. I’m having some sizing issues with this one and may just keep it this way since I post so many photos anyways… Not sure yet. 🙂 But yes, I’m hoping that things will start flowing a bit more – at this point I’m still getting used to things at work and figuring out the best way to do things at home after. One day at a time…. 🙂

Oh I Love the new look!! I love how wide the blog posts are — it really does show off the photos. And the slideshow option you offer has always been really great. And Blogger sucks. LOL I really should consider a switch – the one thing I could not do do with my new template was widen the blog posts space.
And I still had to do so much tweaking. I suppose we are the types that always will do that, right?

Bikini and ear muffs – same story here. actually, yesterday was tutu’s and mittens. ???

I did a cool little science experiment in my Sunday School class today. It’s probably too young for your class, but you might like to do it at home.
Canada does not use pennies anymore, so we have tons of dirty pennies around the house — because girls also collect Everything!
they are always using them to play with, so I found this neat experiment that cleans them:
    1/4 vinegar
    1/2 tsp salt
mix in a bowl and drop the pennies in the bowl. wait a few minutes — you can actually see the pennies getting brighter.
then take them and clean/dry with a soft cloth. Bright and shiny as new!

Oh, I think, we’ll always tweak and change and do these things because that’s just how we are wired!!! 🙂
They’ve been talking about getting rid of pennies here too but haven’t so far. Sounds definitely like something I could do at home with my girls – they really love this type of stuff. Thanks for sharing!!! 🙂

Thanks. I don’t know how I do it either but somehow it gets done. 🙂
