Fill in Fun on Valentine’s Day

February 13, 2014

valentinespartyThis is Ally at her Valentine’s Day party today. Did I already mention how great it is to be able to stop by her room and be there with her for her little parties and such? It’s a really awesome perk of working at the same school as the kids. I mean, super duper awesome! 🙂 Don’t you love the little “love bugs” she made?

Since I have the day off tomorrow and don’t have to get up too early, I have some time to join Hilary for some Follow Friday Four Fill In Fun and fill in some statements! We don’t really go in for all the lovey-dovey stuff and I much rather get flowers out of the blue on a random day.

Anyways, here are this week’s statements and my answers…

The statements:

  1. Valentines is _______    day of the year for ________
  2. Since Valentines is a sign of ______ I_________
  3. ____ with ____ is a great way to _____
  4.  Sometimes I ____ when I ____

My answers:

  1. Valentine’s is a perfect day of the year for relaxing! (I have the day off tomorrow so I hope, I get some relaxing done!)
  2. Since Valentine’s is a sign of another Hallmark holiday taking over I don’t get overly excited about it anymore.
  3. Going for walks with my girls is (usually) a great way to relax and enjoy some sunshine.
  4. Sometimes I get distracted when I watch a good show on TV ( Scandal, anyone?). And who am I kidding, I am easily distracted… 🙂

Happy Valentine’s Day and have a great weekend!

Haven’t heard of Scandal. Will look into it. Glad she had fun and have fun with the kids today.

I got sucked into Scandal and haven’t yet made it through the seasons on Netflix. Today, we have Dr.’s appointments on the schedule and then we’ll see what’s what and will try to enjoy the rest of our weekend… 🙂

I worked in my children’s school years ago. It was wonderful to walk home together. Have a Happy Valentine’s Day!

Thanks, Judy! It is great to go there and leave together and to see them occasionally on campus. I love it… 🙂

Oh those little treats are adorable! Is it sprinkle covered marshmallows? my girls would definitely go for that.

We don’t make too much of a fuss — I decorate the house and do stuff, but it’s mainly for the kids. Hubby is actually sleeping because
he worked the night shift. So I am sipping tea by the fire, eating chocolate in the morning and catching up on some blog reading.
Hope your day is relaxing too!

And yes TV — even if I am writing, I need some kind of noise in the background. Right now, we are hooked on that show The Following.
even though I find it so so creepy and scary! Can’t look away.

Yes, the marshmallows were covered in frosting and sprinkles. The kids had so much fun decorating… Our day was relaxing and normal! 🙂 Not sure I could stomach The Following – I’m not much for creepy, scary movies – at all!

i agree with you – i don’t get excited either. i would much rather make and be made to feel special all the other days of the year, not when a card company says so

      Exactly!
