These are but a few of the pictures I took this weekend. On Saturday, we spent the majority of the day at school at the yearly Spring Fling celebration.
It’s an all day event where students get to show off their artistic side and all that the Fine Arts Department has to offer.
I happen to love it because each year I get to be just a little more impressed by what my kids can do and what talent the school has – from dance, to drama, to band, painting, photography and so much more. Everything is on display, for all to see!
The performances last all day, and if you have time to kill in between, the kids can release some energy in one of the many bounce houses set-up for just that purpose or try to find a shady spot and cool off with an add-your-own-flavor snow cone. There are also class baskets up for auction and an art exhibit set-up in the dining hall, another good spot to cool off and be impressed with the art, made by students, skillfully displayed.
This year, was just a bit different, with Ally also a part of the fun and let’s just say, she more than nailed her performances. The lower school principle actually came over to us after she got done singing and asked for her autograph: “I better do it now, because one day you’ll be famous!” — Made me smile so big!!!
Ashley made my heart beat just a bit faster with her absolutely stunning dance performance. Once again, I had other moms come up to me, asking where she takes lessons – she doesn’t, other than in school. It’s amazing to see how much natural talent she has.
Conner, showed off his robotic skills, played a few tunes on his trumpet with band and had a few of his paintings on display. He is quiet about his talents and so the impact is that much bigger when we finally get a taste of it.
I’m so proud of all three of them, and sorry if this is a bit braggy, I can’t help it! I hope, you’ll forgive me!
have a great day, everyone!
