First day of Spring Break

Today was our first day of Spring Break, if you don’t count the weekend. It was overcast and the drizzle here and there turned into full fledged rain later in the day. I wasn’t too upset about it, since we had some chores to take care of anyways.
The girls and I had lunch at Subway while waiting for my car to finish getting its oil change and tire rotation.

After we got the car back. We swung by the house to pick up the boy to go to GameStop to look for a video game that little one could play on the new PS4 hubby got.
We were in luck and the kiddies walked out with a second controller, and two new games.
Michael’s is right around the corner so Ash picked up some more polymer clay for her new obsession of making charms.
The picture above – shows them all being crafty in sweet harmony. Perfect for a rainy day afternoon.

And then, all three of them playing a game – together and without any fighting!
I treasure these moments. The older two are at an age were they constantly picker and trade jabs. Not something I’m very fond of but normal as far as I know. This is bliss and I’m happy to capture it for those moments when I’m ready to tear my hair out!

Hope you all have a great week!

  1. my two eldest are the same right now!! ggggrrrr. One minute they are getting along just fine…and then it’s like World War 3 explodes in my house. I didn’t have any siblings, but hubby tells me it is perfectly normal. And they aren’t being mean or hurtful to one another — it’s just control battles I guess.
Thank goodness the 2 girls play so well though. And the boy gets along so well with the “baby” of the house. they have a completely different relationship. he doesn’t let anyone else but ZooZoo sit on his head. LOL
Hope you get some of that lovely sunshine for your holiday!

    • Same here. The youngest can get away with a lot when it comes to her big brother’s patience and the girls are always doing things together… At this point it’s the teen and tween that give me all the headaches! :) I do hope we’ll get some sun so I can squeeze in some beach and pool time in between all the chores!

  2. No fighting–what a great start to the the break. I wish I was that well behaved back then ;) Enjoy the rest of the week!

  3. Looks like so much fun!!!!

  6. Susi,
I still remember these wonderful moments… and the funny thing is that the kids will too! Now that the kids have kids quiet moments seem to be few and far between

    • Ha ha. My mom would probably say the same thing when we are all there. And I do hope they will remember the quiet moments too. /)
