Visitors, goodies and beach fun {Snapshot Sunday}

Hi guys! Remember me? It’s been a few days…

This week was a pretty easy week to go back to work too. Just 4 days followed by a three day weekend.

Little Shirley went back to the school science lab after spending Spring break with us but came home again for the three day weekend. I have a feeling she’ll be a weekend visitor, every weekend! Ashley considers Shirley her pet and would love nothing better than to keep her. I have to admit, she’s a cutie pie. :)

Monday dawned bright and early, a little too early for this morning grump, but the sunrise on the drive to work made up for it big time – just gorgeous!!!

I really, really, really love the way this strawberry edit came out. I used camera+ on my iPhone and the tailfin filter just looks so cool! It is now my lock screen wallpaper!

Tuesday, we managed to steal away for a bit of a Dunkin’Donuts break while we waited for big brother to finish with robotics clubs. It’s always nice to get a little girl time with my two beauties. And the girl behind the counter got an extra tip for being super nice and giving me a new drink when I didn’t like the first one (which she recommended)!

And this little tortilla pizza came about thanks to middle daughter – she’s been wanting to make her own little pizzas and since we had sauce and fresh mozzarella and basil, I threw this baby together and let me tell you – it was delicious!

My throwback Thursday for this week – our little vampire baby! I remember how long it took me to get a good shot of her smiling so you can see those two little teeth poking through. :)

Sunset clouds on the way home from dinner Thursday night – I just love a nice cloud show and sunset.

And today – THIS happened. An epic baking fail. I finally decided to bake something from scratch again in honor of my mom’s friends – who are here visiting from Germany – coming to visit for the day and in my sleep-addled, barely one cup of coffee down state, I seem to have forgotten to also flour the pan after greasing it.

I was able to salvage it somewhat and it did taste really good.

We took our visitors to Boston’s on the Beach for a late lunch and let me tell you, the food was yummy. A few of us had the fish tacos and my mom had a lobster roll that was to die for! Little One has been avoiding the camera as much as she can but she couldn’t help  showing me her pearly whites when I asked to take a picture of her and her daddy!

The best part after lunch – the beach… sandy toes, salty water and the warm sun! Who doesn’t love this?

Hope you all had a great weekend! And wishing everyone a wonderful week!!!

      The sand between my toes was much needed! And the tortilla pizza is easy and delicious!!! Hope you like it if you give it a go. :)

    that strawberry is fantastic!! love the edit – I’ll have to try that app.
    but sunsets and sunrises are my favourites — great captures. I just missed ours tonight and it was fantastic. But I had my own little one in the tub, so I couldn’t dash out of the house.
    Looks a grand time with your visitors!

      We had a nice day with our visitors and I still can’t get over how much stuff they brought back. Just a massive amount! The sunrise this morning looked amazing but I was driving and had my phone in my purse so no picture this morning! I just got the app myself but really like it so far.
