Follow Friday Four Fill In Fun… and Mother’s Day Tea

May 9, 2014

I love Fridays! Do you love Fridays? Who doesn’t love Fridays? Today was not just any Friday but a special one indeed. Little sister’s pre-k class put on a little afternoon tea for the mommies of the class and it was the cutest thing ever. It was a good thing that there were plenty of tissues to go around, as a few tears were shed by one and all, yours truly included.

For me, it was definitely bittersweet. This is my baby and all these little and big things are lasts now, not firsts anymore. I’m just so grateful I get to work so close to her and stop and share these experiences with her.

Before the fun began, little one’s preschool teacher made us cry when she told us how much she enjoyed having our kids and what a special group of kids they are – she said, a class like this only comes around once in long while and she doesn’t know what her and the assistant teacher will do when they move on to the next grade!

I’ve seen how these kids are together, how they interact with each other and how much they love each other. They are truly friends and I hope, that they will stay together as much as possible next year. You simply don’t find this “magic” too often.

Okay, you know the deal – Each week, Hilary lists four statements with a blank for us to fill in on our own blogs. If you want to join the fun and come up with four fill in’s of your own, please email them to her.

If she uses them, she will add you as co-host to the hop! This week’s co-host is Obi from Eloquent Obi. She came up with the last two statements!

Hilary REALLY NEEDs STATEMENTS!

The statements:

  1.  Did you know that ____ are _____
  2.  I feel like _____
  3. I get _____ at _____
  4. ____ is my favorite ______

My answer:

  1. Did you know that the end-of-year activities at school are always causing me so much stress?
  2. I feel like baking some smores cupcakes. One of the students brought me one today and it was so good!
  3. I get a lot of e-mails at work requesting strange things for science experiments.
  4. Shakira’s new CD is my favorite to listen to right now.

There you have it guys – I finally managed to play along with the fill in fun… I don’t know how long it’s been but it always seems to be that I’m super busy on a Thursday night and then don’t get around to it on Fridays either.

Hope you all have a great weekend!!!

xo, Susi

p.s. I can imagine that with your science job, you get many weird emails, probably makes for a good laugh trying to imagine the possible uses of those items…

Sometimes, I’m quite surprised what stuff gets used for and how many chemicals we use in our daily lives!!! And this Friday, no this whole weekend, was really awesome!

The kids all looked adorable. The boys were wearing little top hats – so adorable! I just saw the smores cupcake mix at the store. Think I’ll just buy that and give it a try! 🙂
