Happy 4th and some fill – ins…

July 4, 2014

Germany is playing France right now in the FIFA World Cup quarter final and I have a few moments since it’s half-time. I want to take that time and wish all of my friends and blog readers a wonderful and safe 4th of July! (In case you haven’t seen it on any of my social media platforms!) I hope, you all get to enjoy this long holiday weekend with friends and family and will be refreshed for the coming week!

go germany

Germany won against France and they are off to the semi-finals against whoever wins the game currently going on – Brasil vs. Columbia. It looks like Brasil may win this one but it ain’t over til it’s over. It certainly is an awesome game and the passion of these two teams is definitely showing!!!

And now I’m joining Hilary for some Follow Friday Four Fill In Fun because that’s what I like to do when I actually have the time! 🙂

The statements:

  1. ___ is my favorite thing about ____
  2.  ____ tastes like ____
  3. When in doubt, ____________
  4. Is ________ the secret of life?

My answers:

  1. Watching Germany play and win is my favorite thing about the FIFA World Cup.
  2. Ice cold watermelon tastes like Summer.
  3. When in doubt, check with Mr. Google! 🙂
  4. Is laughter the secret to life?

Have a good one my friends!

xo, Susi

I discovered iced watermelon, slightly thawed, when in Australia – yum! Haven’t had it in a while though, I hate pips…
Laughter definitely is a big part of it all.

I don’t buy watermelon too often. As much as I enjoy it, I really have to be in the mood for it. 🙂 Have a great weekend!

I don’t know if laughter is the secret to life but it certainly is one of the best parts.

    • Susi July 4, 2014 at 11:06 pm

I don’t know either but without laughter things would be very glum. 🙂

I LOVE watermelon any time of the year, but in the summer it is the best.

Mr. Google is the BEST answer. LOL!!

Thanks, Elizabeth! Now that everyone is on the mend the rest of the weekend should be great. (All three kids were sick in the past week and are on antibiotics.) Have a great weekend!

These were fun answers, Susi! I can see from your face how happy you are about the games! National pride is a good thing! Watermelon is indeed a wonderful, delicious part of Summer, and where would we be without Google? How did we ever find anything out before we had it, I wonder! Nearly all the illustrations I use on my blog come from Google images, it’s so helpful! Laughter is truly healing medicine, smiles and laughter can have a powerful impact on other lives, I wish that was something everyone knew and put into practice!

Go Germany! Now they need to win against Brazil! So excited!

    • Susi July 5, 2014 at 11:11 am

Katrin, from everything I’ve read and heard our boys should be more than up for the job! And now with Neymar and Silva (what a stupid thing to do as team captain) out it may even easier. I always hesitate to say it’s going to be easy but I truly think the machine is up for the job! Fingers crossed!!!! 🙂
