So much going on around here and yet, nothing at all. Things are the same – work, camp, life – big moments and little moments and all the in-between. I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Blogging, as usual, is taking a backseat to that life, these moments and I’m okay with that. It took me a while to get here and I still miss being in the thick of it but I’m finally easing up on myself. I know, I can’t do it all, even if I wish I could. If only there was more time in each day, then maybe I could have more time to do all the things I want to do. But instead of letting it pressure me, I’m trying to relax more and let things happen as they come.
And while blogging has taken a hit, you can still find me on Instagram or Facebook!!!
Here’s a look back at the last two weeks or so…
(Click on an image to open the slideshow and see the captions for each! Enjoy!!!)
Things to do on a rainy afternoon – take a nice relaxing bath and get your hair braided by mommy!
The colors during sunset were amazing last night.
I made my flag cake again this year. This time I used red velvet cake mix – yum, yum!
This little one was the last one to get sick this week. Middle sister and big brother beat her to the punch and all three are on antibiotics now.
Middle daughter painted this box for little one to use as a pool for her barbies but Finn took a liking to it and likes to relax in it too.
I love that the hubby rearranged his music room/office a bit and I can take pictures like this now with his guitar collection in the background.
Little one supported Germany last week for one of their games. The boys have been on fire and are in the semifinals, along side Argentina, Brazil, and the Netherlands. Who will be World Cup champion? We’ll find out next Sunday!!!
Sherlock and Watson love their fresh veggies, especially carrots. They are getting very comfortable in their new home and make the cutest noises when they are happy.
A red cardinal in the neighbors tree. So happy I caught a shot.
Last weekend looked a lot different from this weekend – sunshine and pool time.
The queen likes to take over our bed when no one is around. 🙂
The fountain in front of the Fishing Hall of Fame in Davie, Florida. One of the field trips we took the week before last with camp.
This is a perfect bowl of Pho that I got to enjoy at the new Vietnamese restaurant in town last week. So, so good. Can’t wait to go back.
Hubby and I have been enjoying a few “date” night recently. It’s still a little strange to be able to go out for a quick bite or drink and be able to leave the kids in the care of big brother.
Hubby wearing his German soccer jersey in support of the team. It’s seen a lot of wear in the past few weeks. 🙂
Field trips to the beach? Yes, if you are part of science adventure camp!!! This is a shot from out snorkeling field trip. It was pretty cool.
This is Valentino, who we watched for about a week. Poor guy is deaf and blind and at almost 14, an elderly dog. He doesn’t have the easiest time anymore so I will forgive him all the pooping and peeing he did in the house, even if I wasn’t happy about it.
Fridays, are fun Fridays at camp and we get to dress up according to different themes. Here the girls are channeling their inner hula dancers for Hawaiin/ Tourist day.
Hope everyone enjoyed this long weekend! I wish all of you a great week!!!
