Friday is here, and I’m so glad!

September 19, 2014

You know the deal. It’s Friday! I’m a little late to the party as usual but ready to do some fill-ins.

Hilary’s Follow Friday Fill-in Fun to be exact. For more info on her super, duper, awesome blog hop, click here!

The statements:

  1. I am ____
  2. I don’t like to ___ alone
  3. Would you_____ if you could?
  4. Cooking with____is something to be _____

My answers:

  1. I am sooooo tired. Today was a tough day… got to work and walked into a sauna – A/C broken, the lab was booked and busy all day with 6 and 7 graders… then we had a lightening alert and couldn’t let one group of kids leave – during the teacher’s planning period – so, no quiet time. The a/c didn’t get fixed until after the last period, and by that time I couldn’t think straight anymore from the heat. Ended up leaving work late, especially for a Friday…
  2. I don’t like to walk alone in the dark.
  3. Would you move half-way across the world if you could?
  4. Cooking with truffle oil is something to be savored!
Feeling Beachie

After work, the girls and I went out for a girls only dinner, since our boys are out of town for Conner’s first robotics competition with the school’s robotics club. Dinner which was excellent as always, was followed by some yummy frozen yogurt and now, we are (finally) watching “The Fault in our Stars”. A perfect end to a long day and a perfect beginning to the weekend.

my girls

Enjoy your weekend peeps!

I probably could move 1/2 way around the world…

It’s not for the faint of heart but it’s doable! πŸ™‚

I don’t like to walk alone in the dark either, never have, never will. As for moving around half way around the world? Been there done that, more than once. And I’d do it again πŸ™‚
    Have a wonderful weekend!

Yup, you would know what that’s like!
And that whole walking in the dark thing keeps me from walking at night or first thing in the morning. Ugh… I have got to get a treadmill. πŸ™‚

Our entire school is NOT air conditioned. It is awful especially when you are on the top floor. Good yours got fixed. I am glad I am retired now. πŸ™‚

No on moving across the world. πŸ™‚

Truffle oil sounds unique. I will have to look into that.

Thanks for sharing. Have a great weekend. Sounds like it started out great.

We couldn’t deal with not having a/c here in Florida. It’s way too hot most of the time. Truffle oil gives food a very unique flavor and it’s also a bit expensive but oh so delicious. πŸ™‚

I came close to moving halfway around the world once, and then ended up moving from eastern(ish) Canada to California. Not halfway around the world but clear across the continent!

Hope the A/C stays fixed at work! πŸ™‚ Have a good weekend!

    • Susi September 20, 2014 at 12:05 pm

That’s a pretty big move even if it isn’t half way across the world!

  • Rorybore September 20, 2014 at 2:02 pm

I like to think that I could/would move half around the world; it’s exciting to think about such adventures. But I don’t know that I could move away from my family for a really long time. or forever.

I would love to walk at night after the kids are in bed, but I wouldn’t do it alone either. not anymore. and I live in a pretty safe area. I need a dog πŸ™‚

I feel pretty much the same way – on both!!!

  • Patricia September 20, 2014 at 6:02 pm

I don’t know about moving. But then I have never had the opportunity or reason to move far away.

    • Susi September 20, 2014 at 11:08 pm

I think, there is something to be said for staying close to where you are from. I really didn’t have a choice in the matter when it comes down to it but for us it was the best move ever!

Seems like you had a very busy week indeed.
I don’t like walking alone in the dark either.
Nope I would not move 1/2 around the world. I was born and pretty much raised all my life right where I still live.
    Never cooked with Truffle Oil

    • Susi September 20, 2014 at 11:09 pm

I think, that’s pretty awesome, especially if you are happy where you are planted. πŸ™‚

I do not like to walk alone in the dark, either. It is just too unsafe, now.

    • Susi September 20, 2014 at 11:10 pm

I agree. I live in a pretty safe neighborhood but I guess you just never know.
