Blogging… it comes in fits and starts right now. And even when I’m not posting, I think about posting. Life is busy right now. Busier than we’ve ever been before.
Middle daughter has a packed schedule with cheer or dance practice after school 4 days a week. Throwing in the games – for middle and high school – makes it feel like we never leave school anymore.
The boy has robotics twice a week, once for the middle school team and once for the high school team, which he is already a part of. This coming weekend, the hubby and him are off to another competition at Roboticon in Tampa. They went to their first competition a few weekends ago in Melbourne, Florida. Tampa is an all-weekend affair and I’m so grateful that hubby is taking him and helping out.
Little One has Frozen dance once a week and so far just has to tag along to whatever meeting, game or thing we have to go to.
I’m super busy at work, which is good, it makes the days go by faster and I’m happy that all the science teachers are taking advantage of their lab time. Last year, at this time, there was no lab assistant (temporarily) and most teachers didn’t do any labs.
Most days we all come home exhausted and just want to go to bed… But there is always home work to be done, tests to study for and piles of laundry to wade through. And sometimes, work comes home too.
Then on the weekends, there are chores to be done, groceries to be bought and so on and so on.
So yes, life is busy right now and sometimes, as much as I want to, the blog gets neglected. There will be quieter days, calmer days, less busy days… they are just not here right now.
We do try to cram some fun in there too. Hubby and I went out to dinner by ourselves last night and it was glorious. The food was great and I’m glad we finally got to try the restaurant we went to. Last week we celebrated little one’s 6th birthday with a little party at home and are planning a fun Halloween party in her honor. Something I’ve always wanted to do.
Today, we also had lunch with grandma and little one dressed, in what she calls, her signature color – pink. 🙂
I’m also embarking on another adventure. Last weekend, my official acceptance letter arrived in the mail. Come Spring, I will be returning to school for my BA in Linguistics with a minor in German. At the end of that road, I want to be a German teacher. Wish me luck!!!
I hope all of you have a wonderful week! Talk to you soon.
P.S. You may have noticed the blog has gone pink for breast cancer awareness month.
