Blog

A question, or two, or three…

November 23, 2014

I’ve been in a kind of blogging funk lately. Most of you know by now that I don’t have the time I used to have to devote to blogging. But lately, even when I had the time, I didn’t blog. It’s strange, even though I have the urge to blog and often think to myself, ‘oh, I need to write a post about these pictures and things that have been going on’, I can’t. I don’t know why, it’s like I have a block or something.

One of the things that always swirls through my mind is that I feel that it might be overkill if I share a picture on Instagram, and then my Facebook page and then a few more on my personal page, and what the heck, let’s share some more on Goggle+ too. I tell myself that it’s okay, that not everyone will see it on all social media platforms, that some may just see it on my blog and no where else but I still hesitate. And then I think, okay, let’s just start by putting it on the blog and then sharing the post, but let’s face it, it’s much easier to share on IG or FB most of the time. And then, I go around and around in circles…

So there you have my dilemma. What say you?

Anyways, while my mind is going around in circles, I’ll do something, I always enjoy doing. Answering a few questions and tagging along on a blog meme… Not too much thinking required. Plus, after seeing this post on three of my bloggy friends blogs I decided that it was a sign.

I saw it first on Leslie’s blogΒ and she saw it somewhere else, and when I checked there, it locked like that ChristineΒ got it from somewhere else too… So, I’m not 100% sure where it originated but I’m playing along anyways and hope that blog credit gets given where it’s due!

Blogging funk, huh?! I almost think it is a virus, spreading, going around. I’m kind of in limbo, too, waiting for the cure. Memes are a great way to keep somewhat active on the blog though. This one does look like fun. Maybe I will consider myself tagged, maybe πŸ™‚
Right now I’d fancy your first named favorite place – LOL
    Have a great week!

Oh yes, I’d love to visit Prague again, especially with my camera in tow. That would be fantastic.
As for the blogging funk, I’ll try not to get to worried about it – it is what it is. Since I’m home today with a sick child, I think I’ll play around with my theme a little. It’ll make me feel better… πŸ™‚

OH my – I was not awake this morning when I wrote it! Because what I meant to write was ‘… places you would rather be…’ – LOL
But Prague was great, too πŸ™‚

Get out of my head! That whole thing with overkill for IG/FB/G+? I’m right there with you (and I don’t think either of us is overdoing it…). Also: head cheese? Yuk!

    • Susi November 24, 2014 at 10:12 am

I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one who feels that way! It gets overwhelming at times… and instead of figuring out what to do about it, I just stick my head in the sand and don’t do anything.

I don’t think any of us are over doing it… like you said, not everyone follows me on the blog, instagram and Facebook. And some follow me on my personal Facebook, and not on the blog page; or vice versa.
It reaches different people in different mediums

I still haven’t read The Fault In our Stars and I still haven’t seen Pitch Perfect – the original. I’ll have to put those on my to read and see list before 2014 is over.
There is no place to get sushi in small town. πŸ™

I hadn’t planned on seeing Pitch Perfect but couldn’t escape it with a tween in the house. I haven’t laughed so hard in a while. It’s a great movie! If you read The Fault in our Stars make sure you have some tissues handy… I’m surrounded by sushi restaurants here, not all of them good. But I know I’m lucky to have so many options.

I loved you up until you said that you have watched frozen more than once.
That movie is forbidden in the house of blue.
So we let that s*it go.
    Hahaha!!!
I hear ya on the overload. Don’t worry. Not all readers will be paying attention at the same time and you’ll always catch new ones πŸ˜‰

I live with two girls who know every word to every song and one who performed in a Broadway style play of Frozen over the summer. I can’t help it! πŸ™‚
