Before this first day of the new year is over I wanted to pop in quickly and wish you all a happy, healthy and wonderful new year!
The past few days, I’ve been doing a bit of thinking and contemplating, while reading end-of-the year re-caps and beginning-of-the-year, contemplating the blank pages before us, type posts. Many of these posts were so inspirational and made me thankful to be part of this blogosphere with all you wonderful people in it!
In reading these posts, I realized a few things that I would like to accomplish in this new year. Nothing lofty or ringing with greatness, just my own little goals for myself. One such a goal is to do a photography project 365 on the blog. In it’s most basic form, all I will do is try to post a picture each day of the year, starting today. I’m going to start off without too much rhyme or reason and hope to find some prompts in the near future that I can loosely stick to and follow. One such prompt will come weekly, in the form of Through the lens Thursday hosted by two lovely ladies, Greta and Alison. And then there is wordless Wednesday of course, which is always a favorite. Some days, I may just recycle my Instagram shots for #fmsphotoaday hosted by Chantelle of FatMumSlim. In the end, the goal is to post one photo on this blog each day for the next year! Wish me luck!!!
There are other, photography related goals I have in mind, like learning to master Lightroom and Photoshop, which are now part of my photography repertoire thanks to creative cloud.
One thing is for certain, photography will continue to play a huge part in my day-to-day life next year and my mission is to carve out more time for it, even while working full-time.
My first (two) photo(s) for project 365:
This one also goes for today’s Through the Lens Thursday prompt – new. Happy New Year!!!
This one was my – sky – shot for #fmsphotoaday. The weather on this first day of the new year was dreary and rainy. But as I said on Instragram, without these cloudy, rainy days, I wouldn’t appreciate the bright, sunny days, that I love so much!
