27/365 Long hair, don’t care

January 27, 2015

My boy let’s me photograph him so very rarely. He kinda sat still for two minutes today so I could get that shot. I didn’t even have to annoy him too much! I treasure every shot I can get of him!
The child who couldn’t wait to get his head buzzed every few weeks has been letting his hair grow and grow and grow. I really love the way it looks on him but I do miss seeing his baby blues and wish he would at least get a trim so that his “bangs” don’t hang halfway down his face. But he’s a 14 year old teenage boy and when it comes to his style, he won’t listen to his mama.
I’m hopeful that his dad will have better luck getting him to their hair stylist for a bit of a trim. I know for me it will be a battle I won’t win, so I’m not wasting my breath… , except for the occasional nudge! šŸ™‚

Hope you are all having a good week!

xoxo, Susi

i have given up any intervention in teenager style šŸ˜‰ my two definitely have their own minds.
I think the long hair looks good on your boy!

I think so too and unless it gets out of hand, I wouldn’t dream of giving them style advise! šŸ™‚

It rather suits him though, doesn’t it?
but I also agree and am enjoying my son’s still in love with the buzz cut attitude, so I can see his sweet face and baby blues. My son has such thick hair, and it was curly when he was little, so I cannot imagine the bird’s nest tangles he would end up with, if he grew it long now!
for me the battle is over clothes. he’s still in the the “I don’t care if it matches or coordinates” phase. SMH.

Yup. Mine are getting better about the matching thing but overall don’t seem to care too much. šŸ™‚

Well he does look good with it though so you have to give him that! My son’s friend is growing hockey hair….also known as a mullet…and he is six years old….so at least you got 14 years out of cutting his hair!

Oh man, not sure how I would feel about a mullet. I do love his long hair just wish he would keep it out of his face. šŸ™‚
