48/365 and 49/365

February 18, 2015

Two for one again today! Even though we had a 4 day weekend and this week is only a 4 day week, it’s been quite busy! Mostly at work… We are in the end phase of our school science fair and let me tell you, I’m looking forward to a little quiet time – at least until it’s time to help the winners prep for county!
I love Palm trees with lights strung around them. This just looks so romantic to me.
And little one reading in the bath tub! Oh my! Like mother, like daughter! I’ve been getting such a kick out of seeing her like this in the bath tub. And an even bigger kick out of her love for books and reading! Makes me happy…

Hope you are all staying warm and safe! We are expecting lower than normal temps in these parts overnight and tomorrow. Think I may have to pull out my one and only winter jacket for the day! Luckily, we go from the house to the car and from the car to the classrooms which happen to be warmer than the outside for a change. Usually, the air is so low that it’s freezing inside and hot outside!

Palmtrees…. palmtrees… wait, it’ll come to me, I think they grow – where I am not i.e. in warmer weather!! 🙂 Enjoy wearing your winter jacket just this once. I tell you I am sick of wearing mine… But you cannot beat wintertime for a good bath tub time.

Yes, a hot bath on a cold winter night is just about perfect! I soaked for quite some time last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Luckily, it’s starting to warm up a bit again and it sunny and clear, also a bit windy and that stings. I’ll try not to complain too loudly about the cold here… 🙂

that’s it – I am putting white lights in my indoor palm tree so that I feel a bit tropical and then maybe I will be warm!!! Yet I shouldn’t complain because it is only minus 15 today — when we have been in the minus 30s! So really, it’s actually “warm” by Canadian winter standards.
My eldest has started taking books to the tub too. it’s so funny. she lays there till she’s a wrinkled prune. she emerges looking like a tiny 95 year old woman with perfectly coloured blonde hair. LOL
