Old School Blogging – Randomness

March 12, 2015

I haven’t done any true blogging in quite some time. I mean, my Project 365 is blogging too but it’s not the same as writing a post. So what better way than to join Elaine and her co-host Julia for some Old School Blogging fun?

If you could be on a reality show which one would you choose?

Hmmm, that’s a tough one for me. I don’t really watch too much TV, let alone reality TV. Today, I’d have to say maybe Whale Wars since I just finished watching Blackfish and doing some research on whales and whaling and it just makes me so sad for these poor animals.

Name one thing you have saved from your childhood?

Ally dirndl

The dress, a traditional German dirndl, little one is wearing was technically being saved by my mom first but now that I have it, I’m the one saving it. Both my girls have outgrown it by now but maybe, one day, if I’m lucky enough to have granddaughters, they will wear it. 🙂

If your life had a theme song what would it be?

The first one that popped into my head was “English Man in New York” by Sting. I am not English, nor am I a man, but it just kinda fits, you know?

Where is your happy place?

Always here… preferably with these two cuties.

What is the one thing about your house that you and your spouse disagree on?

Right now, the stairs, more specifically the carpet on said stairs. I want to get wood floors/laminate and he just wants to replace the carpet.

 What is your favorite fruit?

How am I supposed to pick just one? I like fruit, all different kinds. I do enjoy mango a lot though.

 Bowtie or regular tie?

I think, I’ll go with regular. But think that overall it depends on when and where and who?

Mexican or Italian (food, not men)?

Italian will win hands down, always. I’ll eat it all… How about some of this delectable fried mozzarella with arugula and cherry tomatoes with a special marinara sauce to top it of. To die for, I tell ya!

Where do you go on Summer vacation?

What’s that vacation you speak off? I work camp all summer… but then, living in paradise is like being on vacation every day, isn’t it? 🙂

What are your go-to shoes in your closet?

A year or so ago I would have answered flip-flops and that’s still true for whenever I am at home. But for work, I love my Clarks.

Hope you enjoyed reading my answers! I’d love it if you would play along!

xoxo, Susi

Oh I haven’t had a good mango in forever!! We only get them when they’re in season and when they do, it’s a hit or miss. They are either overly ripe or not ripe at all – it’s rare that you find one that’s just right 😉

I’ve never been a big mango eater but now that I’ve had so many ways – mango salsa is a fave – I pay more attention. And luckily We get it year round.

Yes, they certainly do what they can. People might look at them as crazy people but if they did only a little research and knew more about these gorgeous creatures they might understand.
