It’s been a busy few days and I don’t want to let anymore time go by without posting my daily photo for project 365.
72/365 – Friday… Who is this young lady? I look at her and wonder what happened to my little girl. The one who didn’t want to walk because she knew she could crawl there faster. The little girl who loved to raid her brother’s closet and come downstairs dressed in his clothes. The little girl that loved pulling on a pair of daddy’s socks and then his combat boots. When she gets dolled up like this my heart stops a beat and I want to shake my fists in the air and yell: “Not so fast!” But time, it keeps on moving…
73/365 – Saturday… My boy, the one who didn’t want to get out of bed early that morning because he didn’t get back from his field trip until midnight the night before. The boy that just wanted to be left alone and sleep until noon. That boy forgot all about being tired when his team won not just one but two awards at the robotics competition. Yes, that boy holding the trophy seems pretty happy to be there. And him and his team are now on their way to the World Championship in St. Louis at the end of April. A brilliant rookie year for sure!
74/365 – Sunday… Surprise. We are not heading home right away. Let’s stop while we are here and finally see the space shuttle that closed out the shuttle program for NASA. The awe when that screen opens and you see it, right there. Atlantis. I can’t describe it. My eyes welled up, my heart beat faster and I felt just a little sad. An era of space flight over. But what a magnificent machine.
75/365 – Monday… Spring Break. No work. Sleeping in just a bit after a late arrival home from our trip. Lots to do. Chores. Errands. Appointments. Purging. And than this falls into my hands. Memories.
I will try to share more pictures sometime this week. Even without work, there is lots to do. Lots to get done. And the week will fly by…
