146/365 Candy and negative space

May 26, 2015

For today’s photo I decided to try out one of the new overlays available on the pixlr app. It’s called candy minimal and you can use it to give your photos that touch of cotton candy color that’s pretty popular right now. I used a filter/overlay called ice cream and it gave my photo a nice touch of candy color. I like the result. What do you think? I will definitely revisit this overlay with another picture I have in mind.

Tomorrow is my “baby’s” Kindergarten graduation. I can’t stand it. It’s so trite but so true – they are growing up too fast. But doesn’t she just look adorable in her graduation photo?

I’m sure I’ll have plenty of pics to share tomorrow.

xoxo, Susi

Cool effect! I have pixlr on my desktop, but not on my phone. I wonder if I can access the same overlays? Hmmm, I’m gonna have to check this out. This is makes the sky in your photo really pretty. Oh you betcha those kiddies grow up fast! I know first hand all too well. My babies are anything, but babies. They are now 21, 25, & 27. Of course, I’m only 35. lol Thanks for stopping by today!

That is a really pretty overlay.
She’s going into grade one next year? Sniff.
Chunky didn’t have a graduation party for kindergarten. They say it took away from the curriculum…in other words the teachers were lazy because come on…what are they learning in kindergarten besides stranger danger and “don’t eat paint” šŸ™‚
She is a cutie!!! Take lots of pictures! Wait…I don’t have to tell you to take lots of pictures šŸ™‚

Ha ha ha. My other two didn’t have Kindergarten graduations. They did pre-k graduations at their preschools instead. But our school is pre-k 3 up to 12th grade so they do it a little different. It was an emotional day to say the least… And yes, I took a bunch of pictures, of course! šŸ™‚
