Project 365: Day 208 to Day 214 {weekly recap}

August 2, 2015

Monday, Day 208:

These days, a few minutes admiring a beautiful sunset, helps me relax and reflect. Never get tired of nature’s beauty.

Tuesday, Day 209:

Usually, one or both girls join me on my daily evening walks. This time, even Remy and Ruby came out to enjoy it with me. They are surprisingly good and stay put on Middle’s shoulders.

Wednesday, Day 210:

The Cheer-off at camp. Long awaited. It was the first time for both girls to participate. Middle usually spends the week of the cheer-off at my mom’s house and little hasn’t been old enough until this summer. They were both super excited. And I was excited and happy to be able to share their excitement and accomplishments with them.

Thursday, Day 211:

The Olympic Awards Ceremony. Another big event at the end of camp. And Little even won a medal for track and field, specifically, the long-jump. She couldn’t believe it and the joy on her face was a thing of beauty.

Friday, Day 212:

Another fabulous Friday. More fun dressing up. This time in pajamas. How cute are they?

Saturday, Day 213:

Time to celebrate. Grandma turned 89 years young this past Saturday. How lucky are our kids to know their great-grandma?

Sunday, Day 214:

This is what it looked like pretty much all day. I didn’t mind much. A little rain makes for a cozy day sometimes. And I welcomed it since it’s ben way too dry in these parts and that’s never a good thing.

Tomorrow is Friday. Yay! The last day of camp. Double yay!! As much as I enjoy camp and taking the kids (campers) on all of these amazing field trips each summer, I need a break. A few days without a schedule, without taking care of other people’s kids and just enjoying mine. Next week will be for taking care of pre-school appointments, school supply and uniform shopping, prepping for the year ahead (with a freshman in high school, a 7th grader and a 1st grader), taking care of some chores around the house and a visit from my cousin and her boyfriend before they head back to Germany. A week for us!

Stay tuned for this week’s round-up of project 365 Instagram posts!

xoxo, Susi

Yes, we’ve had a lot of fun this summer for sure. But every once in a while a little quiet and rest is what’s needed!!! 🙂

I hope you got some quiet time!!
we have about 3 weeks left before school… but still lots of summer fun and visiting to be done yet. I have not even started back to school shopping yet!! I’m still buried under camping laundry. 🙁
your beautiful views are good for the spirit though. and those pjs – I wouldn’t mind so much a rainy day if I had those to be cozy in! I might even do a cheer! 🙂

Aren’t those pj’s the cutest. I don’t know how they managed to wear them all day but they did and looked cute doing it. I still have things to do but I’m really trying not to stress. I wanted to get my house back in order in the worst way and think I accomplished quite a lot the last few days… now a bit of fun and relaxing with my cousin – well, starting tomorrow.
