Each week, Claudia, Leslie and I invite you to share your #onegoodthing with us. It can be anything good that happened to you. It doesn’t have to be a daily photo like mine. It can be a poem, an anecdote, an article, anything at all that is good in your life. We want to remind ourselves of all the good that’s in our lives in a world that is filled with negativity.
Each week I promise myself to find a little extra time to write up this post a little nicer. A little longer. Go into more details. And each week, Sunday night comes around. Same as before. And I sit down, 10 pm, half asleep to get the post out. One of these days I’ll get around to writing. But for now, here’s my recap of my #onegoodthing for the past week.
Monday. Day 39. Monday was a good day. A good start to the week. For some reason, they usually are. And I’ll take it. I’ll take a nice, ordinary, no muss, no fuss day over anything, especially a stressful one. There seem to be plenty of those these days…
Tuesday. Day 40. Came home from one of those stressful, crappy days to find this in my mailbox. A sweet Vaentine’s card from my bestie. Made me smile. Made my day.
Wednesday. Day 41. Having older siblings can be a blessing or a nuisance, depending on the day. This day, it was a blessing. Ash helped Ally with homework, while I finished doing the dishes and cleaning up the kitchen after dinner.
Thursday. Day 42. Date night. Dinner, followed by an early showing of Deadpool. No romantic comedy for this girl. 🙂 Great start to the long weekend.
Friday. Day 43. The girls and I headed to the west coast to spend the weekend with my mom. It seems the only way for me to relax these days is to go to my mom’s. When I’m home on the weekends, I end up doing endless loads of laundry and cleaning the house and taking care of whatever needs taking care of. As much as I try to carve out time to relax and do “nothing”, it rarely happens.
Saturday. Day 44. My mom and the girls at the Naples Botanical Garden. We had such a beautiful day. And I think we all enjoyed ourselves greatly. The botanical garden is an amazing place and definitely worth a visit.
Sunday. Day 45. Today we headed back home after a relaxing morning at my mom’s and some shopping at the outlet mall. Hubby was waiting at home with dinner and some nice surprises. It’s our 16th Valentine’s Day together and even though we are not very lovey-dovey about it, I still wouldn’t want anyone else to be my valentine. ♥
And another week filled with goodness is behind us. What was your #onegoodthing this past week? Claudia, Leslie and i would love it if you shared with us and linked up.
