One good thing… {My Project 365 – Day 116 to Day 122}

May 1, 2016

“Every day may not be good… but there’s one good thing in every day!” ~Alice Morse Earle

I welcome you to my new project 365 and weekly link up #onegoodthing. My friend Leslie has agreed to help me host the link-up which goes live each Monday (well, actually Sunday night around 11 pm if you want to be exact) and we would love for you to link up and share your #onegoodthing with us and our readers. It can be anything good that day, week, month… a photo, an anecdote, a poem. There are no rules, just goodness and hopefully smiles along the way.

Day 116. Monday. Little surprises that make me smile. Like when we found out that as soon as you put the car in park, the movie playing on the screen in the back, also plays on the front screen. 🙂

day 116

Day 117. Tuesday. I got to sit in on the dress rehearsal for Ashley’s middle school play on Tuesday afternoon since I was going to miss the actual show times due to the robotics trip. I was so happy that I was able to see it from beginning to end and everyone was in costume. It made me feel a lot better about going away…

day 117

Day 118. Wednesday. The much over-done wing shot. Granted, I only posted one last year and this will most likely be the only one this year as well. That’s the Atlantic ocean and the Broward/Palm Beach county coastline you see below. Can’t wait for that view on the way back. I’m ready to go home…

day 118

Day 119. Thursday. Love this shot. I don’t know what it is, but I absolutely love seeing the Arch whenever we walk around downtown St. Louis. Also, the carriages offering rides all over are pretty cool, if a little smelly. Getting the two in one shot like this makes me happy!

day 119

Day 120. Friday. The past 5 days we’ve done a lot of walking and I’ve definitely have reached and breached my step goal each and every day. I miss being able to walk places like this. Don’t get me wrong, I love Florida. But I grew up in Europe, where you take public transportation and walk places. So this has been a nice treat. 🙂

day 120

Day 121. Saturday. Closing ceremony. The end of another busy and exciting robotics season. The past few days have been a whirlwind and wrapping things up with an amazing closing ceremony and finale was perfect. We all went on the dance floor after they opened it up and just enjoyed the fun. I even danced and had so much fun. It was a great release. All the hard work is over. We had a fantastic season and made it to worlds for a second year in a row. Here’s hoping we can make it to three! 🙂

day 121

Day 122. Sunday. Today we relaxed. Since we couldn’t get a flight home today, we decided to finally get some rest and play tourist by visiting the Gateway Arch. There I got a picture with my boy, not without some attitude and “moooooom” first. But I decided to focus on the good, which is the fact that I got this picture and was able to share this moment again with my first born. One day, he may appreciate it and be glad that we captured this moment.

day122

I hope you had a good week and wish you the best for the one ahead. Can you believe it’s May already? Where does the time go? And will we ever get an answer to that often asked question?

xoxo, Susi

What a busy and exciting week it has been for you. Pretty amazing what can happen in such a short span of time… I still like to take wingshots even though i must have a lot by now. I just don’t get tired of them 🙂

Thanks. That makes me feel better. I read somewhere a while back that wing shots annoy many IG users because so many people post them. But I figured since I only do it once in a blue moon it’s ok. Hope you had a nice week and all is ok! xoxo
