“Every day may not be good… but there’s one good thing in every day!” ~Alice Morse Earle
I welcome you to my new project 365 and weekly link up #onegoodthing. My friend Leslie has agreed to help me host the link-up which goes live each Monday (well, actually Sunday night around 11 pm if you want to be exact) and we would love for you to link up and share your #onegoodthing with us and our readers. It can be anything good that day, week, month… a photo, an anecdote, a poem. There are no rules, just goodness and hopefully smiles along the way.
This week definitely proved that everyday cannot be good, but that there is something good in every day, even if it’s just a sliver. After being away for 6 long days, it was great to get back Monday afternoon and get monkey hugs from my girls and many welcome homes from colleagues and friends. And while the robotics competition was so much fun, it’s wonderful to be back home. I don’t mind travel generally, but I don’t like to be gone from home and family for too long.
I spent most of the week getting back into the swing of things and trying to get back into the groove with labs and all, at work. The school year is winding down for us and everyone wants to fit labs in at the last minute. This week and next will surely be busy but after that it’s all about cleaning up, and out, and prepping for summer camp!
This week marked our 15th wedding anniversary. Hubby surprised me with a beautiful ring set to commemorate the day. I truly love it. Date night will be this coming Tuesday – dinner and some Captain America: Civil War. I cannot wait.
I also finally made the time to get a helmet and motorcycle jacket so I can go riding with the hubby. We got up super early – 6 am early – on Saturday and went for a ride to the beach. It was so amazing. There was barely any traffic at this early hour and just as we came up to A1A (the road that goes along the ocean) the sun was barely up and looked like it was sitting on top of the ocean. What a view and so so worth the early wake-up call. We had breakfast at a beach side restaurant and then headed back home. I really enjoyed the ride and can’t wait to go again.
Today, we had Mother’s Day lunch with great-grandma and other wise had a normal Sunday. Hubby and I went grocery shopping together which was so much more relaxing then going with any of the kids. It’s not my favorite chore but hubby doesn’t mind and makes it bearable. I enjoyed the time with him.
Now it’s time to call it a night and get ready for the week to come… I hope you will have a fabulous week with lots of goodness each and every day! Please feel free to share any tidbit of goodness, either by linking up or leaving a comment.
