One good thing – a collage of the last two weeks {day 144 to 159}

June 7, 2016

day 144 to 159 collage

Sometimes life gets busy and the last thing on your mind is blogging or putting together a post. Sometimes you are also just too brain dead to deal with putting together a post.

In my case, it’s been a combination of the two. The school year ended Friday. Camp orientation was all day Saturday and started on Monday. I took the week off in hopes of getting some things moved into the new house and take care of other things that have been pushed aside for too long… Like getting my teeth cleaned. Taking the cat to the vet to get spayed. Also, taking a little break and relaxing. And celebrating my mom’s birthday here with my aunt and uncle who just arrived from Germany for their yearly visit.

Before that it was the end of the year rush. Prepping for camp. Waiting (not so) patiently for the house renovations to get finished. It’s getting there and on our daily stop today it looked like the crews were working overtime to get it all done. Only a few more things missing on the inside. The outside is still a major cluster… But at least my landscaping is starting to come together and I now have a beautiful lilac tree, as well as two crepe myrtles in my front yard. The magnolias are coming tomorrow. The thought of that made me giddy. I love love love all those trees and their pretty blooms.

So yeah, life is busy. But good. Even on the bad days, there is good and thanks to my little project I won’t forget it.

You may have noticed that we stopped the link up. I just realized no one was really linking up, even if it was pretty well received. Instead of driving us all insane and adding more work to our busy days, I decided it’s better to just let that aspect go. I will continue my project and try to post my daily #onegoodthing on Instagram and then do a recap post here once a week or so. You’re welcome to do a post of your own with whatever goodness is in your life and use the button if you like.

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Have a fabulous week.

xoxo, Susi

    That faucet is gorgeous!! I need that in my house. After our bath renovation, i still have the old standard set that come with the house. boring.
    I can’t wait to see your beautiful trees. well the entire landscape job to be truthful.
    the link up was still an incredible idea and it definitely made an impact in my life. i have grown a bit meh with instagram itself because i just don’t have time to always go through my feed, and i feel you should give out some love if you want it in return. ha. but i definitely take my pictures. they end up somewhere eventually. 🙂

      I still love Instagram and I use it the most besides FB. I love taking my pics and sharing them. Yes, I can’t wait to see the finished project. Really loved all the ideas the landscape guy had and can’t wait to see it come to fruition. Not sure how much they’ll get done today – it’s been a very rainy morning so far. The work as a whole is a bit behind as the inside was supposed to be finished Monday (ish)… I’m trying not to focus on that and instead am focusing on getting some things done while I’m off this week. But oh, I’m so impatient and want to move in already.

    Raising my coffee cup to a wonderful summer for you and an easy move… Hopefully the dust will settle soon, for both of us, and we can breathe easy again.

      Thanks. I’m holding on to that. We are being held up by small details but the wait should be over soon. xoxo
