One good thing… Day 207 to Day 222 {my project 365}

August 10, 2016

So it’s been a while. About 2 weeks as a matter of fact. You know how it goes? It’s summer time. Everyone is enjoying the gorgeous weather and doing their thing. For me the last two weeks were pretty jam-packed with stuff… with life. It was the last two weeks at camp. That meant field trips, experiments (ooey-gooey messes) and clean up so the lab(s) are ready for the start of school. I go back next Tuesday. The kids go back the following Monday.

It was also the last two weeks of my 6 week summer college class. Many late nights and worrying about getting assignments done in time. I don’t know what made me think it’d be easier starting school again in the summer. This course was 14 weeks condensed into 6 and it was chock full of information. I really loved this class (global environment and society) and it reinforced my believe that this – BA in sustainability and the environment – is the right choice for me. It’s something I want to learn more about, something I can be passionate about, something that I want to share. By the way, not bragging or anything, but I finished with an A+. 🙂

Then there’s the new house. Things are starting to settle down a bit. We are starting to get comfortable and are enjoying our new surroundings. We had a house-warming party. It’s a bit of a blur to me, as there were lots of people… friends, colleagues, friends of friends and as much as I enjoyed it, I feel like I didn’t get to spend any time with anyone for long. What I remember the most, is playing tour guide and showing off the house… But it was good and I can’t wait to enjoy more time with friends in our new home. It’s truly a dream come true. As I’m writing this, the landscapers are busy in the backyard making it into a tropical oasis. I’ve always loved palm trees and now I have my very own. 🙂

Here is a slide show of my #onegoodthing IG posts from the last two weeks. Click on an image and a slide show with captions pops up. Enjoy!!!

What have you been up to lately? How’s your summer? I hope all is well in your world.

    a+!!!! Good for you – well done. I don’t know how I would do if I went back to school at this point — even the thought of it definitely intrigues me.
    I adore that pic of you and the girls — it’s soooo lovely.
    And the dining room looks fantastic, so I can’t wait to see your new yard.

    I had all this great blogging planned to schedule before our trip tomorrow — and then my town went and had a problem at our water treatment plant and a water ban was in full effect. So I had to take all of our laundry and selves elsewhere to get cleaned and ready for our trip. There went the day! But at least it’s all back to normal now – just as we are leaving. LOL so my blog will be pretty much blank until I get back — but, I do smell good again! haha #onegoodthing !!

      Glad to hear that all is back to normal. I followed your posts. It’s so scary when stuff like this happens… Enjoy your trip! We are headed out later today for a weekend trip before I head back to work next year! A new school year is upon us.
