Homecoming

November 4, 2016

Homecoming is such a fun time of year and something still a little foreign to me after all this time living here and working at a school. Regardless, I enjoy it, especially the homecoming carnival at the football game. I’ve mentioned it before, how much I enjoy going to our home games. Not because of the game really, but for the atmosphere, the sense of community. The feeling of belonging.

Tonight, Ally was able to run around with her friend, bounce around on all the bounce houses and play games. I was impressed when she decided to sing karaoke, not once but twice. Her song choices? 21 Pilots and Panic at the Disco. Can you say older siblings?

Ashley did amazing again during the dance team’s halftime show performance which was extra fun tonight.

And Conner was nowhere to be found but had a great time nonetheless.

This mom is tired. And after a leisurely soak in my amazing bathtub I will crawl into bed and sleep…

Have a great weekend!

you got some great shots!!! Love the action.
I have great memories of homecoming games during university. it was never much about the game really – not being a huge football fan – but like you say; the community and spirit that was always alive. we only have one high school in our little town, so stuff like that doesn’t really happen in our neck of the woods. i rather miss it a bit.

It’s not something I considered before becoming part of our school community… now I love it. 🙂
