Have you heard that saying/quote about how January was just a trial month and February will be the real start of the year? Well, it’s pretty much how I feel, except that now we are already a week into February and I still haven’t gotten myself “organized”. Ugh. But such is life…
I decided to participate in two photo challenges/projects this year. One is a photo a day with Chantelle of Fat Mum Slim fame with daily prompts. I’ve done it before and it’s always fun to see what everyone comes up with. Her Little Moments App is really helpful and I love using it for edits as well.
Here is a collage of all my entries for January. I usually post these to Instagram with the hashtags and not the Facebook page but you can do both.
The other challenge I took on is a project 52 with weekly prompts from Everyday Eyecandy. My friend Kimberly over at All work and no play makes mommy go something something suggested it to me when I was contemplating if I should take on a photography project for the year. I really like this one so far since I always have some time to think about what I want to shoot for each prompt and the Facebook group is so inspirational and fun.

I’m hoping to start posting my weekly challenge shots for wordless Wednesday and maybe do a weekly recap of photo a day. We’ll see how it goes.
I also joined another Facebook group started by Chantelle for motivation and inspiration to feel better and get some exercise – The Good Life Gang. It’s pretty amazing to think you are connected to people all over the world striving to move more and feel better. We use the Stridekick app for the challenge and step count. I love it because you can use whatever step counter tool you want, Apple Watch (me), Fitbit, Jawbone, etc. For the month of February the goal is to walk 200,000 steps. I think I can, I think I can. 🙂
